If a person is shy it is usually for a reason. Reasons include lack of social skills, lack of self-esteem, novelty of a particular situation or dislike of the people around them.

To approach a shy person, you need to make them think that you have something in common with them. Once you get onto a topic that they know a lot about, they will usually open up.

First step is to make sure that you ask open ended questions that don't just require yes or no answers. Don't ask, 'Do you like films?' instead ask, 'What is your favourite film?', this way it gets the person talking and stops them from clamming up. Use open body language and smile at any attempts at humour. Be hospitable offer a drink or a seat to make a person feel at ease.

Depends what is he to you, your friends , or relative somewhere along the line, or Bf, if he's your bfm, well why don't you just ask him straight out, whether he fancies you, i mean he may be shy because he fancies you, and he does not know what to say, most guys are like that, give it a go, and let meknow how you get on?

his shyness stops him from approaching you.........so it shouldnt affect you asking him. i dont have the guts to approach some girls but would definitely talk to them if they approached me, cos that way i know theres a genuine interest in friendship without me having to try to make an impression to get her interested. Just approach him anyway. the worst that can happen is that he may not give a lengthy answer.....which is when you can use your confidence to stimulate deeper conversation and see what happens

If u like the guy, and he is like really really shy rather approach one of his (female) friends and ask her a little bit about him. then flirt but just a little. GOOD LUCK

Write what you want to say ona piece of paper and hand it to him or post it. That way you won't make him blush and if he like you he can write a reply to you one way or the other.

It worked for me and I'm a luckyhedgehog.

If you fancy him as a b/friend, and come into close contact via friends or you already know him, if so and you know he likes you, why say anything, while your at his side just hold his hand, no matter who is there. actions speak louder than words. try it, good luck.

Be gentle, and not too forward. Give him signals that you like him, but don't be too flirtatious, not at first. This will be a step by step process. :)
