Hmmm...thigh slapping seems fairly intimate. As a woman, I don't touch a guy unless I really like him. She could be more touchy-feely than most, though. Observe the way she interacts with other guys. If she does the same or frequently touches them, she's just a flirt.

It depends on who is doing it. If you have a known homosexual blinking at you, it may mean something else. If you plan on doing it to a stranger don't be surprised if you get slapped on the face. I aways found it demoralizing to have people touch me on the shoulders if I am working with them. Please don't touch me unless you are an attractive female in heat and then there is a correct place for it which may very well be out of the public eye.
