With the current turbulent environment in the world with regards to air travel. Why do you think the airlines haven't declared. Sit in you seat, behave, and deal with every question we ask and new rules or you don't get on the airplane. I realize we are customers and they need to make money, however, if things get any worse, the airlines won't be making any money. Accept the searches, have your passport, abide by the new rules, get on the plane, act normal for the duration of the flight, get off the plane and go on with your silly little life. What is the flipping problem? You don't act normal you can't fly. Anybody else feel the same?

It will be nice if every traveller can be civil, but there will be oddball every now and then. If that person, can be ignored, ignore. If that person becomes unstable, then the help of the cabin crew to restrain that person will be necessary.

And continue the flight. It is not a battlefield there all the time.

Well, "normal" as we all know varies greatly from person to person. But what I think you mean is "conform to all the rules and regulations imposed on you". If I am correct, then I say:

I for one refuse to fly because I am far more frightened of the hired "terrorists" that work for Airport Securty, Homeland Security, etc... than the remote possiblility that somone might get on the plane and blow it up.

The only certainty in this life is inevitable death. So, I accept that that will come when my time here is up, whenever that may be. In the mean time, I prefer to hang on to whatever privacy and personal dignty I can. Therefore, I travel by Greyhound Bus as of now. If they put privacy-invading procedures in place, and want to restrict what I can take on my trip with me, then I will go back to hitch-hiking. Which with all the bad rap it has, if the busses begin to intrude upon me, IMO, hitchhiking will become the safest way of travel.

Of course, this is just my opinion. But then again, your question lends itself to receiving opinions, rather than factual answers.

But remember one thing. Something that I believe the Airlines and other methods of travel have overlooked for quite a while now. And that is that I remember (vaguely, it has been so long now) that there was a time when, "the customer is always right". Now, I think they've gotten it all mixed up so as they believe something more along the lines of, "the customer has no rights" and "the customer is a terrorist unless they are harrassed thoroughly enough to ensure that they are not.

I don't know, what do you think?

YES! I would also add, if you are in a window seat and the couple sitting next to you do not know you, wear a Depends, don't be getting up to go to the bathroom 5 times in a two hour period of time! This recently happened to my husband and I on a flight to Vegas. I wanted to beat that woman!

Frustrated, are we? How do you feel about all the dumass questions on Y!? Who/what is the deciding factor on what's normal? My favorite "airline" is the USAF. Fly 'em every chance I get. Not much in the frills department but I can pack pretty much what I want.

Many people are afraid of flying (but they don't admit it), plus they are nervous because of delays that's the reason why they misbehave, complaining about everything, grudging... Someone should be banned from flying only if he/she endangers other passengers or flight attendants.

You are defining "normal" to mean like everybody else? We are not like everybody else. Lighten up.
