The reason we have swelling from insect bites, like fleas, mosquitoes, spiders, or flies.... is an allergic reaction. Some people are more affected than others. I have cousins who get huge red bumps from a little flea bite, because they are more allergic than the average person. My kids have adverse reaction to mosquito bites.... It's normal and will go away.

Sounds like a fly bite. Yes flies do bite and they usually leave a bigger bump than mosquitos.

You are brooding. Get a life. Or at least find something to do so that you don't dwell on trivia. Put some Calamine lotion on your bump. You'll live!
