When I say USA, I mean big biz and politician greed and power. The people of this nation have been warning our politicians and fellow men that this was going to cause the problems that it is causing now. Just as I am telling you that there had better be sommething done now! We were right years ago and were right now. Total deportation and militerised borders. Our government always waits until it cost billions to fix an obvious problem. by trying to keep a nice guy image, until it is almost to late we have to become bullies to save our soverienty. We have let this immigration thing go until the illegals have started demanding things because they feel power in numbers, now it is time for Americans to make some demands with our power in numbers.

I agree that we have waited way too long as Americans to stand up and say no more. It took awhile for America to actually realize how bad the flood of illegals is and just how costly it is to our economy. It has cost the taxpayer billions of dollars. The borders should have had the military there a long time ago, and it is constitutional. I hear libs say it isn't, but they are full of crap. As far as deportation, it is feasible. All you have to do is make it a felony to hire illegals and have sever penalties for hiring. If there aren't any jobs for them they have to go back home. As far as false hopes, huh? Our govt. lets them cross and they work. Their govt. helps them cross the border and encourages it. Where is the false hope? Yes, they work cheaper. That is the way it is. If they didn't there would not be any incentive to hire them.

I agree with you but I don't think the US is at fault for giving false hope. I think we gave them the wrong idea when Reagan gave the illegals amnesty in the 80's. That amnesty just gave them the idea that if they came here sooner or later they would be given the same sort of amnesty to stay in fact there have been several acts granting amnesty to illegals during the past 20yrs. We need to amend the 4th amendment of the Constitution to eliminate the anchor baby issue illegals are taking advantage of and really abusing. the only thing I regret is that the government has screwed around for so long that when or if mass deportations ever begin it will be like a war zone in the southwestern part of the country. Maybe that is what it will take to get the message acrossed that illegals are not wanted and should leave.

I'm sorry, I don't understand the part about falso hope. Wouldn't we Americans be the ones who were given false hope thinking that the government was going to do something about the situation? Look where we are now. I have had to count out $2 in change from the bottom of purse to by bread when the hispanic in line in front of me bought a shopping cart full of food and used food stamps. And then there's the health care/medicaid situation that a lot of Americans don't have & can't get because they lose their job because an illegal will do their $10 an hour job for $5 an hour, & they lose their insurance. And when Americans start a new job & need help with medical situations they can't get medicaid because they make $50 a month too much to qualify. I do not see where illegals have false hope. I had false hope thinking it would get better.

Right... Just because laws haven't been enforced as they should have been is no reason to continue the illegalities. The fact that doing it right now may cause hardship among some is unfortunate but necessary if we are to maintain our identify as a nation. For every sob story about these people, there is also a story of drug dealers and rapist. Should we allow "guest workers" and make it less cumbersome to become a citizen. Maybe, but we need to secure our borders first, then we can discuss immigration policy.

Unfortunately... There is power in large numbers... Mostly the large numbers in the wallets of America's "elite". The "elite" LOVES American workers having to "compete" with people who will work for lower wages. The government is clearly working with them on this. It's RIDCULOUSLY easy for illegals to work here.

The public is clearly against this treason. And the treason of selling Ameririca's entire infrastructure, even to foreigners. The very ROADS we payed for are now being sold and we will be charged tolls by the new owners. TREASON!!! Where's my cut for the sale of what I bought with my tax money???

The government has become corrupt to the point where the American majority is being completely ignored and sold out by "their" representatives. Big money is COMPLETELY ruling the USA. This is the real problem that must be solved. Everything else is just a symptom or effect of this sad but true fact.

No, because I don't think the United States has ever given false hope, but have consistently said "If you want to come here, here is the mechanism to do so, but entry without the proper documentation is against the law."

Random thoughts....

Illegals are illegal. They are breaking many laws just by coming over.. They are breaking laws by staying . They are not citizens, and have no legal rights. They are being allowed to picket (when citizens can't picket George Bush),

People who hire them are breaking the law - I just don't understand this.

Why are millions being allowed to openly defy and break laws in this country?

I have no issues about giving illegals human rights, but where are my legal and human rights? I follow the laws of this country whether I like them or not. I am not in the position to give charity to illegals at my expense. I would like a say so with my tax dollars.

I am not an American, but please understand that America is made up of immigrants, either legal or illegal.
Even the top scientist, politicians, worker, medical professionals, artists, engineers, everyone.
So why fuss about it.
If 10 illegal immigrants are making the life worse, 100s of legal immigrants have made those facilities and built the nation.

Could be, The saying give us your poor, your oppressed..etc. is not a constitutional thing it was part of a gift from who? The Frogs (french). It was attached to the Statue of Liberty. This guiding light to all immigrants has been emblazened, to the world that this should be their final destination.

Those in Gov't have allowed this to be a moniker of freedom, rather than our bill of rights.

Illegal. Not lawful. The US did not enforce it's laws, true, but the laws were on the books. If you get away with running a red light at 3 AM, that does not legitimize it.

Yes, we should have been a 60 foot wall a long time ago.

I can't believe we still let those Canadians in here.
