Great Question. The answer lies in the thing that so many people hold so dear and would be mad at God if he took away.
Free Will
God created us and put us in charge of the planet. He allows us to do with it what we please and to do with ourselves what we please. Unfortunately there are people that please themselves with some pretty horrible stuff.
The results of those decisions are things like war, disease and child abuse. God is not to blame for these things, people are.

God doesn't abuse children people do. God didn't create cancer people did. Aids isn't God's way of thinning the population it was brought on by human activity with monkeys years ago. So you have to die sometime, why not with cancer? The human population cannot live on forever and if certain individuals get cancer, which does have a cure, we just have not found it yet, or at least that is what they say, then some of those individuals will die. Until we stop polluting or putting stuff in cans or doing something which mankind has devised then cancer will remain. It isn't pretty and it could claim both you and I but that is our destiny determined by how we choose to live. God gave us a free will and that means you choose. There is an old saying, God gave us two ends to use, with one we sit and with one we muse, success in life depends on which you choose, heads you win, tails you lose. God gave man domain over the earth and gave man freedom of choice (freewill). God also gave Satan freedom to tempt man. Things happen because of MAN not because of God. Our society encourages wrong behavior, we say "don't tell others I beat you", or 'don't tell others I abused you", we put porn out, even child porn and say it is ok, sex and violence have become mankinds God's and mankind worships those things, and money, and drugs, God gave us the freedom to choose those things, so WE are the ones causing all our problems. Not God. I had cancer, it was a choice, I refused to die, that was 11 years ago. I recently meat a man who has died 8 times, and has chosen life over what the doctors told him each time. All these terrrible things will end WHEN mankind realizes they are bad and CHOOSES not to allow them. But as long as mankind makes excuses for them (oh he couldn't help it he has a mental disorder, or that's the way he was raised, or whatever the excuse is) then mankind does not take responsibility and allows bad things to happen. Another thing is that the 'sins of the father are visited upon his children' or the mother. Therefore we have to be good so that are sins are not passed on to our children or they are not damaged by our sins. There is a purpose for things good or bad, I have been abused much, but it is through that that I have learned to go forth and spread the word that abuse is wrong, I'm very cold hearted when it comes to that and will turn anyone in for abusing someone, I don't turn my back and say it is none of my business, it is EVERYONE's business. The earth is our house and it's going to be messy if we only clean up our own corner and allow others to make messes in the rest of the house.

Because god was made up by these guys and what the bible really means is that god is your conscience and the devil is when you turn to do something bad it is a mythological aspect like many other history books. To answer your question people die because not at the hand of god but the hands of ourselves. Maybe they die because they have had to pay for something in their other life. And children abuse how can their even be a god if they let that happen to innocence

What you're asking for is a theodicy. A theodicy is a 'vindication of God's goodness and justice in the face of the existence of evil.' There is no satisfying answer to your question because there is no theodicy that works, not even the popular "free will" one.
God is supposed to be all powerful and all knowing. This means he could have created a world with absolutely no evil, suffering, pain, or harm whatsoever. Because suffering obviously exists, we can come to one of the following conclusions:
1. God is evil/immoral/doesn't care
2. God doesn't exist
3. God does not have the power to stop evil (which means he's not god, which means god doesn't exist)

We are not here on earth just to party and have fun all the time. We are here to develop spriritually and get closer to God. Life's trials are gifts from God to develop spiritually. It is through suffering that we grow the most. Life on earth is very short.
As far as children, we may know how long they have been on earth but we don't know what their relationship with God was before they got here. I don't believe souls are created just when you are born on earth. The innocent children who suffer may be very special souls whom God has chosen to endure these trials. If you are Christian, think about how God put his son on earth to endure suffering.

Sadly, these things happen bc of misinterpreting
God's truths for selfish reasons. God does not condone suffering, cancer, death, abused kids, etc. He wants us all to "have life and have it more abundantly."
Stop blaming God for Satan's doings.

God gave us the freedom to choose- good or evil. Read the Bible or join a Bible study group to learn more about God and why people die.
