Not like Orange American Cheese and like White American Cheese? Whats the difference besides color between the two?

I am not sure that there is one, but the process of enjoying the foods you eat, involves the eyes sending the brain a signal that something looks appetizing. if your eyes tell your brain that cheese should not be orange, your brain tells your mouth to pick something else.

Some stores are charging more for white American cheese than the standard yellow that has been a mainstay of grilled cheese sandwiches for decades. Guess what the difference is? Yup, food coloring. So, they charge more to leave out the food coloring? What's up with that? Apparently it's more popular in the Northeast areas of the US, some say because it at least looks like mozzarella or provolone.

Sure American cheese is processed with lots of preservatives and emulsifiers to make them melt easily, but white or orange, they both taste the same. Why pay more?

There really is no difference between the two. Growing up I would only eat the white cheese though. They always say you eat with your eyes before you ever eat with your mouth. Appearance means a lot.

There really is a difference in tast, I'm not sure why. It never mattered to me as I like nearly any cheese that lands in front of me!!

I'm guilty :( .........it's not that I'm picky about it because I will eat both, but if I have the choice I will go with white american.....call me crazy but it does have a better taste to me....honestly. But when it comes to cheddar I only get yellow...because the white doesn't taste the same....is this crazy??? lol

taste texture...color, taste and texture play big roles in what people enjoy eating..I'm never too worried about color, I mostly pay attention to texture.
