i can honestly say i have never been in the presence of pure evil they way Satan is discribed, i can explain all human behaviour through nature nurture and enviroment . I cant see evidence of real evil, only hatred ,jelousy and power hungry people, then theres the damaged ones damaged by bad parenting and by lack of nurture who we call monsters and evil. Satan is a metaphor for all the bad things that humans do and a way of avoiding responsability for our own actions.?

When Thomas Harris wrote Hannibal Lector's character, he had him say we have given up good and evil for behaviourism. I think you are saying something similar?
Where mankind has found no answers he has looked to 'God' or 'Satan' for an explanation. Humans are strange creatures and who is to say what good and evil are anyway. they are terms of reference for behaviours we find palatable or unpalatable.
But they do not come from Satan. They come from us. We are responsible. We create our own monsters.
Psychopaths, Sociopaths - most people in power show some tendencies in this area...not the Hollywood version of these personality disorders but the real thing.

Once again I see you have been answered by various explanations and the usual points scorers. Satan will just love you, if you are trying to prove his existence. I will get straight to the point, God is the answer to your every need, why people are so afraid beats me.

Once you put your trust in Jesus Christ, sincerely ask Him into your life, you will soon have more than enough to prove the existence of both GOD and satan. Satan will through everything in his power to cast doubts on you. I can testify honestly, that I have experienced the demonic devices the devil has used to destroy my life, but as an ex-soldier and a Born-Again-Christian, I have had experiences that prove without a doubt that if God did not exist, I would not be here to answer your question.

Psalm 14 verse 1 "The fool says in his heart, there is no God" If you ask Christ to guide you, He will never let you down, and remember God is the Creator of all that exists. It is by people who have turned away from God that the world is in such a mess. However, Jesus will come again soon, and as I look at the world and human nature all around, I know He's coming soon. Be perpared, get yourself Christian help and guidance from really good Christian scourses. There are many Christian websites to help you out.

But I have seen Satans angels, something I cannot etch from my mind, it was the most frighting event in my life, but I glory in God because He has Saved me and his Angels watch over me all the time. The Lord delivered me from the devils clutches. Don't listen to the people who constantly persist that there is no God or no devil. Satan may be a mighty foe, but Praise The Lord, God is ALMIGHTY.

There is no proof of Satan, nor is there proof of God, but that does not mean they do not exist.
God gave us free will to do as we please, and we messed up.
Bad things happen because in generally we are a greedy race, and we create the greed, the killings, the horror, does this have anything to do with Satan, I don't know but if you had to work with the sort of people that i do, and see and read why they are locked up, I can't believe that a human being could do such things on there own.
but it does not matter what we say on here it will never be proved, it all comes down to what we believe in.

Can you prove the existance of air... or better thought...or best yourself. Man is a dilution of the effects of allowing to areas... pure evil in the form of Satan (Lucifer) and God (Jehovah) on thier lives. Due to the dilution you may not see pure evil. However as the practice it more the concentration becomes higher. The same is true for the reverse. However like with the story of entropy...it take more effort to be good!

You tell-um Baz.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

No more then we can prove the existence of God, I guess.
But as in most things in the world, there is good and there is evil.
There seems to be an opposite to everything, good, bad, light, dark, day, night etc. You can witness both as you look and experience life.
They say that the devil comes in many guises, you do not have to look far to see hatred, violence, etc. You have but to look into some peoples faces to see the influence and cause and effect.

Proving things, lies within the man made secular world of science, where logical thought and experimentation rules supreme. Belief in God, or Satan for that matter, is part of the domain of Faith and Belief. These domains are seperate from each other and should not be confused. If you could prove that God or Satan existed, then you would not be talking about faith, but about science.

i can prove the existance of satan, i just read a question that some guy asked on how to rape his 6 year old daughter, that isnt as evil as actually doing it, but im sure if you visit some prisons you might see a few people that would make you believe in satan

You can't prove the existence of God or Satan - they are based on belief. Satan is a transparent plot device, created by the Bible's writers, necessary to explain away all of the world's tribulations.

The figure of Satan was made up by humans to control other humans. You can read up on the truth in one book by Elaine Pagels, "The Origin of Satan". Both satan and god are manmade concepts.
