Every family gets to decide how they want to track this - some use "removed"s some don't.
We figure my Dad's first cousin is my second cousin. Likewise, Cuz's kids are my Dad's second cousins.
Cuz (my second cousin) has kids - they are my third cousins.

Either first cousin once removed or 2nd cousin both mean the same thing!!!!!!!!!!
