Oh Christ ( he's European to me by the way...LOL) I think you touched a nerve with this question !
I think it's a really good question, a very intelligent question, shame I can't say the same about some of the answers !
Yes, I do think that is the reason He is so many things to so many people ! We do in some ways need to be able to identify with our religion on a cultural level . I never really thought about it before, your question made me think about it , and you do have a point.

Once again I see you have been answered by various explanations and the usual points scorers. Satan will just love you, if you are trying to prove what colour He is. I will get straight to the point, God is the answer to your every need, why people are so afraid of that beats me. You have to be tough to be a Christian, It's no bed of roses.

Once you put your trust in Jesus Christ, sincerely ask Him into your life, you will soon have more than enough evidence to prove this. Satan will throw everything in his power to cast doubts on you. I can testify honestly, that I have experienced the demonic devices the devil has used to destroy my life, but as an ex-soldier and a Born-Again-Christian, I have had experiences that prove without a doubt that if God did not exist, I would not be here to answer your question.

Psalm 14 verse 1 "The fool says in his heart, there is no God" If you ask Christ to guide you, He will never let you down, and remember God is the Creator of all that exists. It is by people who have turned away from God that the world is in such a mess. However, Jesus will come again soon, and as I look at the world and human nature all around, I know He's coming soon. Be perpared, get yourself Christian help and guidance from really good Christian scourses. There are many Christian websites to help you out.

But I have seen Satans angels, something I cannot etch from my mind, it was the most frighting event in my life, but I glory in God because He has Saved me and his Angels watch over me all the time. The Lord delivered me from the devils clutches. Don't listen to the people who constantly persist that there is no God or no devil. Satan may be a mighty foe, but Praise The Lord, God is ALMIGHTY.

I feel that people have passed the cultural barrier when they believe in Jesus, as Jesus would have been born a jew but became the master of his own thoughts, feelings, belief. Even if you are'nt a christian you have to respect the beliefs of the man, which were pretty sound and filled with humanity and common sense.

Nope. Jesus is either imaginary or archetypal. In addition, in the story, he is half Jew and half Anglo or angel of God. This would make him Mediterranean, which is a white ethnic group. There's no getting around it. He had a tan in the summer, but was basically light skinned. People who believe in him would believe he was exactly who he was and wouldn't insist on him being their race. It is extremely insulting and racist to white Christians for him to be portrayed as another race for ethnocentrist blacks and mexicans. Just love him or leave him.

Yes
When you read and see how good God is and the story of Jesus you want him to mirror your race and so you imagine and take him in as a part of your culture. Jesus is Jesus in all races and colors. He takes on all skin colors and all mankind and that is OK because no man has seen the Lord at least since he came in the form of Jesus..except for the Shroud of Turin and the adapted paintings even the great masters put Jesus in their likeness and greatly agreed to the Shroud..form. I kind of think Jesus is black because Of the hair like wool reference and the History Channel of the weather time and region of birth that they gave of a man durring that time would look like... I do not feel he has a race color in skin that he prefered. He loves all races and all mankind. NO ID of cloak of color for JESUS. I dreamed of him as a film negative. so ..just undeveloped to my eyes. wonderful...I hope this helps

I always wondered why there are white, blonde hair and blue eyed Jesus pictures when in fact he was Arabic, dark hair dark skin and dark eyes. Maybe people can better identify with a saviour that is of their own race, though I really don't know why.
I think that we shouldn't have images of Him anyways, we don't know what he looked like and the bible say not to make Graven images anyways.

No, he looked like a typical jewish person of his time, probably olive skinned with brown eyes and black hair. I do not think Jesus has to be culturally rperesentative; we should just accept Jesus for what race and culture he aactually was.

I suspect he would have been stoned to death as a child of the devil if he was born different to his contemporaries in ancient times. The Bible is very clear on where he was born, who his parents were, and where he lived - why would he be any different in appearance to the rest of the people there? He had a brother, but he apparently was not the son of God, so he probably looked just like him.

Good question.
When someone speaks to you down the phone, you know their voice before they've introduced themselves. The fact that the voice has been digitally decoded, sent down thousands of miles of wire through different manufacturers equipment and via satellite to your earpiece doesn't change the fact that it's a voice you know.
Jesus is like that.
You just know.
God bless.
