just keep your cool and continue being the good mom you are! many women are single moms bcos the men and just not men at all! the blame is partly on you for not KNOWING who your man was before you said "I do" at the alter!

single mothers always say they can take care of the children as well as the man and society seems to have sided with them in 90 percent of cases. But if it were true, Why does she always try to sap as much money from the ex man as she can. Because the more the ex supports her the more she isnt doing it alone
So lets call a spade a spade its rare a woman raises her children alone and if she is its because she is too dumb to take it to court.

I am also a single mom and I believe that I have done a great job raising my daughter(10). But I do see the effects of her not having a father- not that I would have wanted her dad around all the time. Now I'm getting married and I see the changes in her having her soon to be step dad around, she is a much happier child.

Never doubt yourself, you know you are doing a good job as a mother. Focus on your life with your children and making it happy for them. Don't worry about what others think or say because it just upsets you and just do what you think is best. I personally think single mothers are amazing and stronger than any man could be in any way!!

Maybe what you need to do is tell the preacher how you feel. Ask him to explain to you why it is he thinks you are not competent to raise your children and remind him that even he has no right to judge and you feel his sermons about single mothers are doing just that. Tell him you are beginning to feel unwelcome in the church. Sometimes people don't realize that what they say offends people. It is up to you to point out how the way he is wording his sermons makes you feel. Good luck.

you have a weird pastor. but anyways, i think that a woman is just as cappable as a man in this sittuation (i can't spell), but i think a single mother(or father) cannot take as good of care of her children as a married mother with a father.

Maybe you should talk to your pastor about how this makes you feel.
