I have received a document via eMail from a company that I think is in the Word program, however, I only have the WordPerfect12 and I can't get the download to convert. Am I doing something wrong?

I believe those are two wholly different programs. Perhaps you could open it with another application...Wordpad maybe even.

I have no problem opening Word files with WordPerfect.
What is the extention of the "Word" file you are trying to open?

The software are entirely different and not compatible.
