Could also be some food or a chew toy lodged in the back of his throat or in his back teeth that's causing it. A vet could check Juby over and let you know for sure! Would take him as soon as possible.

Get Juby to a vet right away. My dog started doing that and she had fluid on her lungs and heart trouble.

Could be illness such as pneumonia, kennel cough, etc; choking; dry spot; wound from swallowing something; and lots of things. Best thing to do is go to the vet if she coughs for long periods or more then one or two short coughing periods, as it could be very serious and just not look like it.

Sounds like kennel cough to me. Try giving them cough medicine. It worked on our boxer. If that doesn't work then take them to the vet.

It might be one of the answers you have already received but try this we recently had some samples of a moist dog food and both our dogs loved it but our smaller dog ate it so fast that it gave her a huge gas bubble in her tummy.
try rubbing her tummy and don;t be shocked if she lets out a huge belch.
