It depends if you are lucky enough to find your true soul mate, other wise you settle it's human nature I'm afraid we are social animals we need to be with someone, sad isn't it?

The concept of a soul mate is a beautiful thought, but how could you possibly know... you aren't going to meet every person in the entire world, right? But you meet someone who makes your heart beat just a bit faster when he's standing close to you; he makes you feel safe and happy and possesses qualities you respect, like honesty, a good work ethic, etc. and you think he has beautiful eyes, smile and nice butt... well, he may not be your soul mate but in my opinion, that's not settling either. Life's too short, find someone who makes you happy. Perfect is overrated.

I believe it is possible to meet true soulmate, but rare. Usually I think most people like myself settle for the closet thing.

I believe in soul mates and I believe you destined to find that person but most people dont take the time to look around and settle for they want. I for one found my soul mate in the weirdiest situation.

To be honest I think that we all fall in love with the idea of being in love at some point in time, but yes I do believe that there is someone out there (Soul mate) that all you have to do is be patient and they do exsist.

If I felt I was settling for someone or they for me I would search the world! settle for someone not my soulmate, never!!

I think there's no real soul mates--- although you do find relationships that you become so close to them and that you become attached right off--- maybe only if you're a twin.

First of all, relationships are hard work. You can make it hard work that you hate or love. Talk to a couple of soul mates and you will find they work hard, but it is work they love and don't think of it as work or hard.
