The main problem in answering this is that we don't know which country you live in. I'm going to take the liberty of assuming that you're English and in England/UK because that little window at the bottom left tells me that I'm on the Yahoo UK and Ireland site, with no mention of America etc.... so:
No, you're not a racist, though without reading through all the answers so far I've no doubt you've already been called Christ only knows what, but like you, as a pure-bred Englishman I'm seriously thinking that I'm well in the minority (and all you do-gooders can stuff your figures proving me wrong up your arseholes) and that everything is being done to shut us out of our own country. It wasn't all that long ago that we were even stopped from flying our national flag, and if that isn't a bloody insult to us I don't know what is. Strange too, that they all climbed down off their high horses when the football supporters said "F**k you, it's OUR flag in OUR country so we'll use it and up yours". I was one of the first to display a massive St. George's Cross outside my frontage!!! Then I stood there and counted all the mis-placed noses (i.e. those 'out-of-joint') [that was for all the immigrants whose knowledge of the language isn't as good as they think] - and now I shall sit back and await the onslaught, although by experience I've found that it's only the stalwarts who get this far!!! Best wishes, up the UK!!!

I think the answer to this question depends on why you don't want the immigrants here. Is it the color of their skin, or the fear that the country will not survive their inundation?

An immigration policy that denies all immigrants entry results in a society that is much to insular and becomes unable to benefit from the ideas of other cultures. A good example of this is Japan before the Meiji Constitution. Japan secluded itself from the rest of the world and quickly fell behind.

An immigration policy that allows too many foreigners is also destructive. For example the Native Americans had a lousy immigration policy.

Not necessarily, but you are certainly misinformed. I don't know of any country where there are more 'immigrants' than 'my own people'. Tell me your origins. Who are 'your own people?'
However. by simply asking this question you certainly have racist tendencies.
If I've understood the background to your question correctly, then it has probably something to do with the 2 million Muslims living in the UK.

They have been alienated (OK it's a big word, but you can look it up on the Internet) by their treatment in the UK - even before 11th September (for those who already feel they're part of the USA, that's 9/11). Many Muslims living in the UK are neither immigrants or illegal immigrants.
The population of the UK is now more than 60 million. Surely they can accept a few million from another religion, or whose parents/grandparents weren't born in the UK?
Don't make things worse with questions like this.

If immigrants accept the values of their adopted country, learn the language and make an effort to fit in, great. But too many expect the host country to change to accommodate them and only see their new citizenship as a meal ticket. Unfortunately the authorities are too often willing to say the hosts have to change (eg: the prison that banned England flags during the World Cup as it would offend Muslim inmates by reminding them of the Crusades. If you can't fly an England flag in England, where can you?)

No! No! No! There are millions like you in the country. I'm definitely one too. The problem is we are the silent, law abiding, tax paying majority and we have just rolled over and let many nasty, stupid minorities walk all over us. I am completely, and always have been, against the concept of multiculturalism but when I say so the naive young, who have been brainwashed by the way, and ignorant adults scream "racist!" How they equate the two words fails me. I simply do not want my country to become a melting pot of people as it simple causes long-term cultural and social problems. We are already seeing this in Britain. The majority must get off it's collective backsides and fight against this national idiocy.

No you're not a racist, that's just what the people who are overrunnng your country, just like here in the US want you to think.
This is all due to one thing, massive overpopulation in countries that have nowhere near the resources to deal with it and until these people are made to realize that and the problem gets addressed the immigration situation will continue to get worse, not better and we will eventually be overwhelmed, as a planet not just a given country.

No, not racist. It seems that most nations are being overrun with third world citizens. I hate it myself, but, a few weeks ago, While getting my truck loaded in CA, The Mexican That Was loading me, legally in USA for work daily ( I was on the border) told me that his boss got him the temp work card and that he made 200 a week. I was appalled, this was in 112* temps and hard work. I no longer blame just the immigrants, but the companies that hire them with low wages too. We need to help develop third world countries, that might help. who knows the best solution. ours is a badly changing world..

Have you ever researched your own origins?
Britain is such a mix of nationalitys from hundreads maybe even thousands of years of invasion, you may find you are racist against yourself. Have you scandinavian blood in your genes or germanic?
Hummans are not that different to each other, blond, ginger, brunett, white, black, yellow or brown we are exteamly simmilar. Do you think the countries youve been to should have kicked you out for being foreigne and taking money from there country?

No that doesn't make you racist, you just don't want the situation to get out of control and be overrun with immigrants.

No, it is NOT wrong to think that way. If we let every immigrant into the country, we in turn would be giving the country to them, because there will come a day, when there is no more room for us.Balance is the important thing, we must balance things out.
