there is a free program on the web and it works for me. You can type free spyware removal and you will see the links. Read to see which you prefer. If this is for a personal PC, they offer this download for free.

The new beta windows defender from microsoft is the best I have used so far....
It will run right after you install it.. it is free..
http://www.microsoft.com then go to downloads, it is the top download, when it starts to download hit run and and then install it.. it will scan and repair... off you go
If you take my advice you will be spyware free in a few minutes without pay a penny. And it will protect your system too.

I think spybot search and destroy is a very good program. There are a lot of spy removal/malware/adware removal programs that you can get for free at http://www.snapfiles.com , just click on the freeware tab and then find the type of program you are looking for... they also rate the programs and give you screenshots and the author's website.
