Kodak C330, 4 mega pixel, 4x/3x zoom. Got it for my wife ($80 new on eBay, $130 @ WalMart) Uses cheap SD memory. Canon cameras are also good. Check any model you consider out on www.digitalcamera.com . Beware of some that have fragile LCDs and severe power issues. While Kodak sells and easy-share printer, I opted for the HP, which accepts several kinds of flash memory. Definitely buy hi powered Nicads or NIHM. Choose batteries you can replace easily instead of manufacturer's special batteries. Buy a camera that has a viewfinder & a LCD. LCDs are a bear to see in the sunlight!

My boyfriend bought me a Kodak EasyShare 5.0 megapixel digital camera for my b-day back in June. I love it. You can buy just the camera or you can buy the camera/photo package (which is what we did) it comes with a little printer, photo paper and ink... You hook the camera right up to it and print them right out. I am dumb when it comes to new technology... but I find this one very easy to use and A+ quality photos!!

I recommend Canon S500 or 600! any of the new models are good! check on the Canon website. They use SD cares that are inexpensive. And Canon is a well known brand! You will not be dissapointed.

both Canon and Nikon have lower cost models that are easy to use. Go to a good photo store and try each one out and see which one feels best to you. It is a very personal thing to select!

i suggest you get one with the rechargeable batteries and get an extra battery and a larger memory disk. for photofinishing, try walmart.com i uploaded some pix and edited on their basic software and the prints are stunning.
have fun with it.

a Sony Cyber-shot is great. Choose a model with a Carl Zeiss-Vario Tessar lens to give you a good zoom. They have lots of models that matches with your lifestyle. Hope it works for you.

I've had good luck with the Kodak Easyshare. The software sucks, but it does a decent job of picture taking. I got a usb card reader to load my pictures with and haven't even got their software loaded. Great pictures and easy load!

Any of the Canon Powershot series, there is one to fit your needs. Save yourself a lot of trouble by not buying a Samsung.
