I'm assuming you're a Christian. If this assumption is wrong, then look at your other answers first. If I'm correct, here are some starting points:
1) Get involved in a good bible-based church. A church that preaches the gospel, and is growing and thriving. Churches are always looking for volunteers - use your God-given talents and find a way to utilize them within the Church.
2) Get involved in a small-group bible study. Time spent discussing the Word is time well spent.
3) Get involved in your community...other people have needs and hurts that your talents can address. Jesus called us to be servants, and that really is what the Christian life is all about.
4) Spend time in prayer - EVERY day. Is it absolutely necessary that you have a quiet time to spend reflecting every morning between 6:30 and 7:00? No, but I find it works for me. Also, remember, prayer is communication with God. You can do it in the car, in the grocery store, in the shower...
5) This one is kind of difficult for a lot of people, but man does it make a difference in my life...ask God to use you for His purposes. I let Him guide my career path, and man what a difference it makes. When I was running my life, I wanted to go into business (big surprise, I wasn't happy). I'm a teacher now, and words can not explain the joy and peace that I have.
Sharing God's love is the best way to feel His presence in your life. Hopefully, this gets you started in the right direction.

I do 3 things every day in my life:
1. I do something for someone else that I really don't want to do. At work, I'll put aside some of my own work to help a co-worker. At home, I'll put off playing a game on my computer to help an elderly neighbor with some housework. Something, anything...
2. I pray as often as I think about God. If I don't feel like praying, I tell that to God. If I feel like praying, I ask God what He wants me to do. Our moods and feelings change throughout the day...telling God how I feel makes a difference.
3. I read at least one chapter of one book from the NT and OT every day. Usually, the best time for me is right after I get home from work, but I don't generally absorb the information. I'll wait until I'm in bed, then read and ask God to show me what He needs me to see.
Just a suggestion, but God is very real in my life, and I'm growing more and more dependent on Him every day...I'll pray for you!

Read Psalm 1
Oh the JOYS of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with scoffers. But they delight in doing everything the Lord wants; day and night they think about his law. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season without fail. Their leaves never wither. and in all they do, they prosper.
The closer we walk with the Lord, meditating on His Word, and enjoying communion with Him, the more God becomes more real to you. As you read His Word, and commune with Him, He will make His plan known for your life

If you're a teenager, be part of a youth group, or start one, befriend people at a local church, listen more at church, talk to your pastors ask them to help you out with this, be part of more things at your church (attending ministries, going on missions with the church, etc.) there are so many ways! The best thing to do though is to just go to a pastor and ask him/her to help you out, let them explain and give you options. Don't be afraid, they'll be more than happy to do it, trust me. Just think of what kind of a connection you'll have with God and Jesus after you do! You'll be so happy.
Here, watch this video. It could help you make a decision. Just remember I'm not forcing anything on you, it's just something to think about.

Just look for Him, search Him out. He will be there. Ask him to point out things in you life that will bring you closer to Him. Write in a notebook what you see God doing everyday(or most days) then look back and see that things you don't even think about, are God showing you His awesome love for you. Read the bible, while you read pray for God to guide you, to see what He wants you to see. PRAY.

Oooh! I know this one ! ! !
Read your Bible (study) and talk to Him (pray).
It is particularly powerful to pray God's word back to him. After all, He has promised that His word will not return void.
Seriously, pray before you open your Bible that God will reveal to you what it is that He would have you know. Ask Him for the wisdom to apply it to your life and the strength to do so when tempted not to. Then study and listen for that still small voice...
