There's all whole bunch of priorities, other than food, shelter, safety, kids, and MTV.
And those higher principles include honor, freedom, and righteousness.
In this 15 year popular culture, diversity and denying that America is "one people" (e pluribus unem) has been rampant. But in the end, I would expect that American will not be dominated by anybody else, and we'd fight to the death for our autonomy!

I would not sacrific my family for anything. As for myself I am prepared to make sacrfices for the things I believe in and to provide my family with a good life.
My adult children are free to choose for themselves if they are willing to sacrifice themselves, my minor children are encouraged to consider the good of others before themselves.
We could all be selfish and lookout only for ourselves, which in my opinion has caused much of the discontent in the world today. I think that if we consider others in most issues we could avoid much conflict.

I do not think that you have to sacrifice for no cause. your sacrifice depends upon the situation and the impact it will make. Think of a soldier. He is ready to sacrifice for his country. What for yor are going to sacrifie you and your family. You cannot sacrifce your family for your benefit.

the sacrifices of your self and your family to your country has a b ig difference between sacrificing for the sake of religion. if your religion is a true religion which is basing on the bible about the existence oif GOD, then obeying GOD and have faith on Him and that you believe on the teachings of GOD as written on the bible, you shjould love GOD ab ove alll things because GOD is zealous GOD. do not pray to idols, image made by man as their gods

No and i dont like your question. Why i said this? Religion is all about hypocrisy and manipulation of unscruplous people. Religion is just business, asking for thithes and offerings. People who are giving are suffering while organizers are making theirselves fat.

Should we be blind to others so as to watch out for ourselves? Should we point our fingers at others and not notice what we're doing ourselves?
But you said it best. Best question I've seen yet!
