Any suggestions?

Try to get plenty of sleep when you don't have homework. A rested brain works better and has better memory.

I suggest you should concentrate on finishing your homework first. Yahoo Answers is going to stay for longer and you can come back here when you dont have homework to do. Prioritise your things and manage your time so that you can work, rest and get entertainment at the right time.

As far as remaining awake is concerned, dont go for any artificial things like some pills, excessive intake of coffee etc as these are not good for your body/ brain. Just sleep for more hours so that you can remain awake and fresh for longer time.

Best of luck!!!!

Getting enough sleep EVERY night is the key to staying awake during the daytime. However, if you sleep regular hours and still are tired, you may have a sleep disorder. Sleep disorders are fairly common in teens and can cause serious difficulties in school. For more info log on to the National Sleep Foundation website, www.sleepfoundation.org. Or better yet, discuss the issue with your doctor, he may refer you to a sleep specialist for a Polysomnogram, or Sleep Test, to find out the root of your tiredness. Good luck!

to me the question is how to get more sleep. The mind rested is the best way to get your homework done effectively, efficiently and with the most benefit. I have problems sleeping if I drink to much caffeine, eat too much sugar and/or am on the computer too long before going to bed. Eliminate these from your day. organize your day to allow for study and at least 7 hours of good sound sleep.

Cold water on the back of the neck worked somewhat in Marine Corps bootcamp... (The colder the better)

Caffeine in coffee or tea works is my preferred method these days.

Just don't push it too long and get a good nights sleep whenever you can.

sugar!
forget speed.... ittl keep you awake all night, even after work is done...
sugar is temporary... and your brain needs carbs to function anyway
forget about getting fat, your brain burns off sugar a lot faster than u realize...
speed will cause you to crash in class the next day....
sugar will cause you to crash after you finish working and stop thinking.

some people say caffine keeps you awake.... i wouldnt know... I cant sleep without it.

(by the way Ash...its the weekend, forgot? or just tired? :-D)

positioned a weight above your head and carry a string with your hand to keep it raised. in case you fall asleep you'll launch the string and the load will drop onto your head and awaken you once more beneficial.

Coffee is one of the tamer ones and it works. Not being a coffee drinker sort of puts you at a disadvantage in the USA...
