I dont agree with waycybers thoughts on angels and demons hes taking free will and throwing it away,we could argue in court that a demon made us do it but then we are taking no responsability for our own actions . According to waycyber,we are merely puppets for outside influences to effect,it sounds a little paranoia to me.

The quick answer for me is yes. It is a trite phrase today: But when student is ready, a master appears, and when a master is ready a student appears.

If you like this sort of things, then it will begin to make more sense, and if if you don't it will begin to seem like really "hooie"

In someways it is a small miracle that we are here at all and can deal with the 'physical' world at all considering the space between atoms and the high water concentration in our bodies. Instead of the more miracle sounding putting one's hand through a wall without damage to hand nor wall.

There seems to be a path of mastery where one exerts one's will and there seems to be a path or way of sainthood in which one hopes and asks for god to work through you.

And yet through all these Alchemical processes Mathew 7:7 is probably right .. "ask and it shall be given"

These things are less documented in 'the west' today than in 'the east' --starting with the middle east and going east to Japan. But there are several western practitioners from Native American Indians to Mystic Christians to New Agers

For me the more personal and less physical, the more probable the event.

I first ran into some of these thoughts through the Roman Catholic Church. I then came more strongly aware of them through Aikido and Ki-Aikido and its co-practices of Shiatsu w/ KI and Kiatsu and later the sufi healing order and then compared some notes with some Reiki people and some new agers.

Consider:

for example it has been well documented that various yogies and disciplined people have controlled heart rates, slowed their breath, endured great pain by stab wounds or burning and other autonomic nervous system control. It is well documented with the placebo effect where someone is given a sugar cube or a shot of salt water and they get better. The martial artists push themselves at times to remarkable extremes.. and the woman or man lifts the car to save the child.

It is less well documented, but still documented for example instances of firewalking, telepathy, empathy, of energy or spiritual healing manifestation of desires though intention and prayer. Remote Viewing, the blind reading print (not Braille) through their hands and other nifty cool things.

But it is there. A famous study had bunnies staying well after toxic injections because the lab tech loved them. The BBC photographed an instance of mass hypnosis with a snake charmer.

Even less documented are the things that seemed to happen during age of miracles of the era of the Bible .but still reported today. people living to 800, living for months on water, people floating in the air, parting the red sea, saints materializing roses out of thin air to little girls,

Even making the loaves in fishes (did he materialise the fish, or just encourage the mob to share -- both are miracles in their own right)

So the more physical the thing the less Possible perhaps, the less probable, the more easily faked. but it still might not be fake.

To close when one does have the mandate of heaven much, indeed all is possible. However we or others are intune with the mandate of heaven rarely. And sometimes, like it or not we might be like "Eddie Maintenance" in the movie "The five people you will meet in Heaven"

Try to find your calling in the world, then things will go better. Perhaps some physical miracles will happen too.

Yes. But first you have to master yourself - internal alchemy, the way of the warrior as it is called. It is not an easy journey, though the words to guide you are simple, and can be found in many places, The Tao te Ching, John in the New Testament.

There are many pathways, so chose the one that resonates with you, and stick with it - don't be a butterfly flitting from one thing to another. When you are ready, the right teacher will appear, so don't worry too much if you have taken the right step. You are on the path of self enquiry so keep it up.

There are many qigong masters in China who can perform amazing feats - like producing food, bodily control and healing. Don't get side tracked by wanting to be able to 'perform' this is a major pitfall. Just accept that it is possible and continue on your journey. There are far greater things for you to discover.

To just want to know about these things is sensationalism (appeals to your senses) the real magic is beyond this.
Jesus said 'Greater things than these you will do.' The path is not an easy one, as you will discover.... your neighbours become your mirror and your teacher.

The answer is YES, sorry to all the cynics that plagued this question, but it is you all who are deluded, for this question is truly ingenius and none of the answers so far have really oput any thought into such a spiritual question.

You are right, what we know to be our limits when its comes to mastering this world, are far away from the true frontiers of internal alchemy that is practiced by millions of immortality seekers across the globe.

The mind IS an amazing tool and gift, and the body is intrinsically linked to it, there are about 18,000 degrees of separation but in the centre is our soul and this connects us to the greater good, the light and ebergy of the universe, from which we all sprang.

Some men i India stand on one leg for their whole life and meditate, others sit in caves and journey the cosmos on planes of astrally projected magnificence, you my friend are onto something, continue with your research and look into Taoism, as this is the closest thing to a full understanding of how we can become masters of our reality that i have ever come across.

Good luck

I believe this Mastery is a shared universal truth and knowledge, but few of us (me included) are able to attain it.

In Buddhism it is called Nirvana. In Judaism a similar state is attained through Kaballah.

Both are about reaching Enlightenment through Transcending our physical limitations and the physical world.

Both Buddhism and Kaballah state that the Physical world of Science we know and see is really only 1% of the Universe, and the Spiritual (non-Physical or Meta-Physical) world of Light we don't know, that Science does not yet know, is the other 99%.

Many people have mentioned "control" of the physical world. I think this is a misleading term for a spiritual subject. For a Buddhist or Kabbalist it is not about control. I think "transcending" is a more appropriate term to what is trying to be achieved as the physical world is actually only a small part of our universe. A Buddhist or a Kabbalist is trying to transcend our limited physical world to reach out and enter the greater non-physical spiritual world of Light. In comparison, control of the physical world for a Buddhist or a Kabbalist is an extremely poor reward.

When you read about Tibetan Buddhist Lamas who can "control" or lower their heart beats and go into hibernation, they are really transcending themselves.

Broadly speaking the answer is yes, but it depends on how. Man is pretty limited in his own right, but has one particular ability. Man can link up with spiritual entities.

Lower order angels and demons can plant thoughts and images into a persons mind. These can be "nudges" to ring someone who might be in a crisis, or to think of someone just before you bump into them. Demons like to plant dramas in our head where we act out embarrassing, shameful, hateful, fearful or malicious fantasies in which we feel the full force of emotion. Angels and demons can plane fully formed ideas in our heads. This is when they operate as muses. Some poets and songwriters come up with whole pieces without ever knowing where the idea came from. This is how.

Some forms fo ESP are down to these lower order demons. Because they can hear thoughts and plant thoughts, they can create effects such as telepathy, distant viewing, clairvoyance, psychometry and the like. Because angels and demons operate in what is, in fact, another dimension from which they can observe this one, they have a limited ability to see into the future. Images gained this way can also be planted in the mind as precognition.

Angels and demons can take a number of forms physically and (for want of a better word) psychically. Ghosts for instance. It can be accepted that a person have a ghost that appears in their likeness (in fact, the spirits of the dead are forbidden to contact the living), but how do you get a ghostly stagecoach? The answer is that the whole image is planted in a persons mind by the angel or demon. Angels, for instance, have been seen in chariots, which may be "physical" or may be projections as described.

Demons (not angels this time) and The Holy Spirit can take over a person (the person has to be, in part, willing for this to happen). In the case of demons, this is possession. Several demons can possess a person at the same time. A result of demon possession can appear as psychosis and schizophrenia (speaking as one who has experienced this). In the case of The Holy Spirit it is known as an anointing.

The Holy Spirit is the trump card in all of this. When man was first created, demons and angels were below him. Then the demons took charge because Adam gave them the authority to do so. The Holy Spirit gives a person authority over angels and demons, though this authority does have limits. It does not, for instance, permit a person to treat angels or demons with disrespect. Angels are best thought of as co-workers rather than servants.

Because the higher angels and demons can influence things on Earth, visibly or invisibly, they can cause other psychic phenomena to manifest. Telekinesis for instance, and poltergeist activity.

************** RESPONSE ***************
We are not puppets. We take responsibility for our choices and actions. We just need to be aware that not every thought in our head is our own. How many times have you had an idea pop in your head out of nowhere? With no logical origin? To attribute all of these to our subconscious is not logical, because these thoughts often have a structure which forms from consciousness, yet the thoughts have no conscious basis! I am talking about hunches, instinct. Things that, though real, have no logical root.

To a degree, but not completely. Some people do, but I feel
our Creator has kept knowledge of our spirits ability from us,
because if we knew how powerful we are as spiritual beings.
Along with human nature to be jealous, envious, and want
revenge. We would destroy ourselves.
I don't believe there ever was, or ever will be a perfect material
world.
Right now however, I believe our Creator is opening our minds
to prepare us for a very important time that will have serious
spiritual repurcussions.

The Bible is loaded with stories of God showing us His ability to manifest His control over His physical world. He created our world and everything in it from nothing. He is God.

There are stories in the Bible that show human beings manifesting God's authority over the physical world as well, but only working through the power of God and at His direction and for His purposes.

I do not believe that God gives any such powers to anyone for any other reason than to display His purposes and desires.

There is a tremendous amount of deception in the world, either demonic manifestations or simple trickery, designed to separate you from your money or to gain control over your life. Be cautious.

Yes!

Through out history we have document evidence of this. The point however is that it can only be done we one is working through or in the power of the Spirit. In the Bible we see much evidence of this from Abraham (Genesis) to the time of the prophets in ( Malachi). Jesus has done the same followed by His Disciples. To this day we see many sings, wonders and Miracles.

So to answer your question simply...yes!

That would be bending reality itself, so to control the physical world like what you described, one must be metaphysical and not bound by the laws of physics and logic, similar to the God created by our fantasy of absolute power.
