should be a bit kinder about ppl on these forums when they talk about "ugly", overweight girls, i love it when men say nice things and stick up for the underdog (as it were). Advice to men: if you want a girl then be more respectful towards them! I find it so sexy when a guy sticks up for a girl. Anyone here feel the same way?

People in general should be nicer and more respectful towards others regardless of their varying degrees of appearance. People who say bad things about others by being disrespectful more often then not don't respect themselves. Unless there is a good reason to be ugly towards someone, they should keep derogatory remarks to themselves.

As for some people on these forums who do make fun of overweight and unattractive people. They do so because they are on their home computers and don't have to see the hurt they cause others. They can engage in such behaviors through the anonymity of the Internet without fear of any reprisals. Guys who do this in particular do this because they are socially inept and believe that women with class will fall for their BS.

At the end of the day this all boils down to the man showing off in front of his mates, when he pokes fun at poor misfortunate disadvantaged people. But in fact when a man makes fun they just look incredibly stupid.I do agree that some men should be more respectful towards women...........

It's not even about getting laid. People just need to be more respectful. ALTHOUGH: I do beleive some overweight people need to be called on their problem in a respectful fashion, that way they are motivated to change.

In case a girl is chubby or so but she is nice - I stick up for her.
If she is chubby but not nice and kind of demands nice words - always asking for compliments, and expecting them for granted. I remind her of her weight so that I am not the one who gets into the vicious cycle of being a good "honest friend"

Definitely. As women it's our biological right to be defended. So naturally we find those capable of defending attractive.
Look at Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller. The stereotypical couple. She was noted for her beauty and vulnerability. He was noted for his brains and success (along with that comes power).

There are as many guys mocking girls for their looks as there are girls mocking guys for their looks. It's even, there are jerks on both "sides".

I agree that its nice when someone sticks up for someone else, regardless of the gender though.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and its a sad shallow person who thinks otherwise. There is a great old phrase "never judge a book by its cover" everyone is a beautiful person if you spend the time to get to know them. You should never judge them solely on looks...............
