I've tried to help people out in the past. On this site and on others but they just shun me away and call me names or something. So why should we believers even try to help out those that don't believe?

Because you may reach one soul and that would be worth it all. It does say you will be persecuted for believing.

I think a lot of people see many Christians as just the opposite of what they are supposed to be- as in we don't practice what we preach. But any Christian who has read the Bible knows, we must still try and reach others because it is what Jesus commanded us to do. We should expect to be ridiculed and made fun of, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try. Some people may feel negative toward Christians because they may have been made to feel small and unimportant, or shunned, forgotten, etc. by so called Christians. And you see pastors on tv who seem fake to others because they ask for money, etc., or live a double life. But that doesn't mean as a true Christian we shouldn't try to help others and help them see what we believe to be true. There's a Casting Crowns song, not sure which one, that mentions "all the lost and lonely people, in the shadow of our steeple...." Makes you think.....

winston churchill once said the only way evil can prevail is that good people do nothing. u cant help every one u come across but even if they shun u away whos to say they werent listening.most people dont like to be preached to that why they push u away. when they do just move on and try to help some one else. eventually it will pay off.

First of all you are obeying your Lord, Jesus; Matthew 28:18-20 ALL AUTHORITY has been given me in heaven and on the earth. Go, therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all the tings I have commanded you. And Look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

By using your mouth to declare his word, you are showing your FAITH in God, for indeed faith without works is dead.

Psalms 126:5,6 Those sowing seed with tears, Will reap even with a joyful cry, The one that without fail goes forth, even weeping, Carrying along a bagful of seed, Will without fail come in with a joyful cry Carrying along his sheaves......This means that the WORDS, your seed, are being dropped all around the world. They are landing on the 4 types of soil. Luke 8:1-15.

Even when your seed lands on the FINE soil, the ones who will indeed become Christians, you cannot know who it is. Just like a garden, the plants grow slowly with water. So water your garden gently and lovingly, and tenderly remove the weeds; (death dealing teachings) so you will not damage the roots. Let God's spirit open the seed to receive more water at the right time, but if you do not water, how will the plant grow? We have the privilege of being God's fellow workers. 1Cor.3:6-9.

Not only is it important to reach the fine soil, but for the harvest to occur, God and the angels need to see the weeds. The angles are going to remove the weeds. Matthew 13:41-43.

The weeds are workers of lawlessness. But even if one could not see the works of of the willfull sinners, how will it be easy for the angels to find the weeds?

Matthew 12:36-,37 I tell you that every unprofitable saying that men speak, they will render an account concerning it on Judgment Day, for by your words you will be declared righteous, and by your words you will be condemned.

Jesus is observing intently, examining the response of everyone to the words about the good news of his kingdom. Will they repent and accept him, as Lord, Savior, and King? Will they join him in doing the will of God? Remember 'let your Will be done on earth as it is in heaven,' and 'he that does the will of God remains forever.' Matthew 25:34-46..1John 2:17.

Ezekiel 33:6 1-11 ..as regard a land, in case I (GOD) bring upon it a sword,..and he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the horn and warns the people..but he took no warning...he himself will die in his own error, whereas you yourself will certainly deliver your own soul. Say to them..'As I am alive,' is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, 'I take delight, not in the death of the wicked one, but in that someone wicked turns back from his way and actually keeps living. Turn back, turn back from you bad ways, for why is it that you should die, O House of Israel?'

2Peter 3:9 Jehovah is not slow, respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire any to be destroyed, but all to attain to repentance.

Try not to be discouraged from opposition, Daniel 12:10b ..no wicked one will understand...2Thess.3:2..Faith is not a possession of all people.

Let us get the work done and hear...'well done faithful slave.'

Trying to get people to believe in the bible is trying to spread delusion. You would be much better off trying to help yourself by growing up and getting acquainted with the real world and leave the fairy tales for children.

One reason to help Non-believers is because God helped you to believe. Do unto others as you would have done unto you.

what is that believer asking such a thing! Even non-believers are people. Maybe that's the reason.

It is the duty of a belieer to tell about Jesus because they should not perish. Jesus died for them also. whether they accept or not we have to tell them and pray for them. It is God's work to bring them in to his Kingdom. we can not save anybody, but God can.
