Read more often. Also, try just looking for the important points and reading that sentence, or that part of a sentence. Usually, the first sentence of a paragraph and the last sentence of the article or page should be enough to get the gist.

I know how you feel, it takes me and a lot of my friends atleast a minute to read a page. The more you read the faster you'll get at it (even though this method is really slow). But a speedreading book off of ebay might help faster.
