readkoran,
A simple question to you requiring on a yes or no answer and not the obfuscation you posted which is not worth the bytes used to produce it: "Do you unequivocally condemn the persecution of christians in darfur/Sudan by muslims?"

Bilal & jurgen,
try writing in English next time. The war in Darfur/Sudan is religious as much as it is political. In any case it doesn't matter what the driver is; unambiguous condemnation is what is required. mealy mouthed rubbish proceeding from the cursor of some muslims in relation to this quoting irrelevant bits of the Qur'an or denying it is a religious war do no favours to your aruments and show you up for the appeasers you are.

I think the people who say western media does not give muslims enough exposure are either unfamiliar with the facts on this or deliberately throwing up a smokescreen; if the leader of the Muslim Parliament or the leader o the Muslim council of Britain (MCB) gave presw conferences on this subject the media would rush around to report their words. It is just not true the western media is not interested. It is true that muslims do not condemn faults in their own community enough. When was th elast time a muslim leader unequivocally condemned so called "honour killings" yet I've heard plenty of excuses from muslim leaders whenever these are reported in the media.

I believe it is against some principal to speak against a Muslim brother penalty is death. Christians are not seen as on the same level under Muslim law (Shara?) second, third class citizens. A holocaust or genetic cleansing is happening in Darfar and who's speaking up for the dying?

Western Media is very dangerous. They cater to rich and powerful and keep people in the USA and the world divided by spreading false information about great ideas or spreading only the bad news about every community

I encourage Christians and other religions to learn about Islam from Muslim sources and The Basis Of The Muslim Belief and not rely on second hand information which in many cases is distorted or contains a deep seated anti Muslim agenda. This is indeed a more scholarly approach

I am a Muslim and I condemn Muslim persecution of Christians in Sudan. They should stop and treat Christians as equals. By persecuting them, they are displeasing Allah. Allah loves the kind and merciful, not the oppressors or unjust.

Why DON'T the western media gives us air time so we can publicly condemn them?
I have Al-Jazira and I see people condemning it there but do I see this happening here? I don't think so.

it is not religious persecution but political .You dont have to show support to the rebels here because the US government had already done that-just because the rebels are non-muslims and Sudan had been aligned to anti-US.

Allah says: [3.199] And most surely of the followers of the Book (The Jews and Christians) there are those who believe in Allah and (in) that which has been revealed to you and (in) that which has been revealed to them, being lowly before Allah; they do not take a small price for the communications of Allah; these it is that have their reward with their Lord; surely Allah is quick in reckoning.
