Ok, do all the mothers out there tend to be more forgetful after giving birth?!? Cos it happened to me. I tend to be slightly forgetful after giving birth...Why is it so?

yes i know what u mean i had my 2nd child and had dressed her to take her to the doctor she was in her carseat which was on the couch i put my oldest daughter in the car the babybag my purse and drove off my daughter said after i got about 5mins from home that i left the baby in the house turned around and there she was still in her carseat so i guess having so much on your mind with the new baby and all making sure u r doing everything rite u tend to forget it happens to the best of us good luck

Some mothers are administered 'Ativan' as a form of anesthesia during delivery. It makes them pliant and obedient to instructions while detached from the pains. But that forgetfulness is also experienced by those who went under the knife (surgery) while on general anesthesia. It is the anesthesia that is responsible for this but this is a temporary phenomenon. Mental acuity is ultimely regained over time.

I have turned into a complete ditz. After 3 kids my brain has completely left me and I even forget my own name. But I can tell you who's soccer game is at what time today, when the team pics are, and all the players on my team

you probablly just have more on your mind, and alot more to think about. try some yoga or just try to relax, and settle your mind.
