i once lost £50 at ayr races and the next day there was a horse running called "fifty quid short" i couldnt believe the coincidence, put a tenner on it and it lost. Im not looking for anything called "sixty down"

i would not cause I am sure that names affect behaviour of animals. so the horse called a snail (if even striding) is doomed to have "snailish" features , which is not so good for the race (mildly speaking)

Absolutely, if it's form was good and the jockey was ok....
I don't bet much, but you can't just bet on a horse because of it's name. Although a lot of folk do......
