by that i mean, how many do you have to take, before or after you eat... that kind of stuff.
i can't imagine it working, by the time it's made it to your intestines, wouldn't all the calories have been absorbed by then?

It's very dangerous. It will make you lose weight, but not fat....it will deplete your system of electrolytes and dehydrates you. That can lead to heart arrhythmia which can lead to cardiac arrest and death. If you take them to lose weight, you can become dependent on them will not be able to have a normal bowel movement....and sometimes that is a permanent side effect. I became dependent on them as I have anorexia and I'll tell you, when you end up in the hospital due to an electrolyte imbalance and they have to pump it back into you....it's very painful.

If you lose water weight by any means (sweating, diuretics, or laxatives), you will look thinner, feel lighter, and be dehydrated. You could lose up to 10 pounds of water weight, but will gain it back as soon as you start eating and drinking again. It works to fit into some clothes or look good in a bikini, but it can be really dangerous. I don't recommend it...

But yes, you are right - the calories are absorbed and you're only getting rid of waste that your body would have eliminated eventually anyway - you're just speeding up the process.

Good luck!

sweetie,
never take laxatives to lose weight. laxatives are designed for constipation. if your serious about losing weight, eating healthy and exercising, taking your vitamins would help greatly.

it just makes you lose water weight. you poop everything about, you will be dehydrated all the time. you won't lose any fat. people that take them are stupid. they think they're losing fat weight, but it's just water weight that you can lose from sweating.
