I am curious as to why people have to draw lines in teh sand between evolution, ID and Creationism. In all of god's omnipotence, couldn't it be possible that he "incline" species to adapt and become successful?

I meant to put "inclined" and not incline

CLARIFICATION: I am choosing to use the word GOD as a universally accepted label for the (potential) creating force of the universe!

Yes, i feel thats its possible that God could have created us in many different ways, even with what the Bible says. This may be a bit different than your thinking, but here's my thought. I mean the bible is known to speak metaphorically and maybe when it says God created man from the earth, it could have been referring to something evolutionary. You never know and so I like to consider all possibilities. Open-minded, you know.

Nice question for a change. It does enter into an area that for most seem to see great controversy. If one does assume everything did start in one way or another from a single source in either view of a big bang or a god, why not. Would not such a consideration depend on how one does define the word evolution and the included results of such a definition.

A focus on the one source factor, would that not include all meaning knowledge, information, and wisdom which I see as the proper application of knowledge and information. Of course that is my way of seeing wisdom and I would be wrong to impose this on others. However if there be some truth in this view then even the word evolution and its defined definition would be sourced in this single source. Thus the answer to your question is that such is absolutely possible.

I personally can not see or accept the change in species by evolution because of the many two-folds that are self evident in what exists. These for me restrictive two-folds are reproduction and acquisition of oxygen as a start. Some reproduce by divide and multiply while others reproduce by unite [male-female], divide and multiply. In the acquisition of oxygen some do it by means of gills from the liquid waters while others do it by means of lungs from the gas waters.

Do give your idea more thought and then do have a great day as you do listen carefully to your thought for possible guidance.

I think you're really on to something. In my opinion, each day of the seven days God used to create the world, could have lasted long enough to include one part of the evolution. Don't you think? It all adds up, if you look at the similarities:
> Evolution: The earth was completely lifeless for a very very long time <-> Bible: God used an entire day on nothing but light and darkness, earth and sky.
> Evolution: The next thing to appear was the system of clouds, rain and water. Next, simple organisms like alge and plants. <-> Bible: God used the second day to separate the oceans and the soil, and cover them both in plants.
> Evolution: Animals appeared in the seas first, and then spread to the earth. <-> Bible: God used one day to create the animals and fish in the seas, and the next to create animals who roamed on land.
> Evolution: The human was the last and most complexe being to evolve on this earth. It is extremely intelligent and has taken over the earth. <-> Bible: God created the human the last day, and put it in charge to rule the earth.

Pretty cool, huh?

I heard at one point a priest suggested that evolution does exist but that God willed it too be so. I find that makes perfect sence because as time goes on things change and adapt to live better and longer. I believe this is God's way of helping animals and humans survive in this world filled with pain and suffering and to prevent us from dieing out which would break our commandment to "go forth, be fruitful and multiply". People need to stop breaking science and religion apart because each can be used to add onto one another.

God Has Much Better Job To Do.
Why should he do such a absurd thing?
If God Has hand in Whatever you say then that thing has to be totally of a diff rent caliber. Look at the world today and the human beings, you will understand without doubt that who had hand on this.

Well, this is what I think. I don't think, necessarily, that it's the Christian god that created everything, because I'm Wiccan. But I do think that something may have helped evolution along. I have a hard time believing that everything just happened because of the random separating of atoms and such. I think that some ethereal being may have pushed it into happening.

Not a avid fan of god being in any way related to the bible, but yes, i can see what you're getting at. Totally possible, will of the universe, it is.

He can do, but he needs your help to understand Him and obey Him. For example in the traffic you have to obey the trafic rules otherwise you will be in trouble that you cannot understand how it happend. For this you have to know the origin and the rules to follow. Adapting techniques are there in the rules.
