This is serious your brain can really suffer and you end up with no sense of time or anything else going on around you. I've been there and it's not much fun. Here are a couple suggestions that might help you.
A-Exercise
B-Take a nice warm shower use some calming scented soap like mint or lavender.
C-Put on some slow music...jazz...
D-Eat something that includes TURKEY it has triptophane in it that aides in sleeping.
E-Get a book to read when in bed that is BORING
F-If you have someone there with you ask for a MASSAGE
or if you are alone....use some massaging oil, massage as much of yourself that is possible...lol
G- Make sure your bed is very clean and your bedroom put clean sheets and pillowcases on your bed and pillows. This will relax you right away.
Try these suggestions and call me in the morning! Sweet Dreams

Well, turn off the computer and t he screen as well as turn off the TV and anything else with an LCD screen. There was a study that if you look at a screen, it takes 30 minutes before you might be able to sleep as your brain is so distracted. Other than that, buy a boring book or listen to a boring speech. Pick someone with a monotonous
voice . Bookwise, people have different tastes in what is boring and what is not boring. For me the book Kim by rudyard Kipling put me to sleep in 5 minutes.

You also may want to consult your doctor. Hope you can sleep. Good luck and good night.

First, get yourself to the doctor, you may have a serious sleep disorder. Your doctor can refer you to a sleep specialist for a consult. For more info look at the website for the National Sleep Foundation www.sleepfoundation.org. If a sleep disorder is ruled out, you may have a psychaitric issue, such as an anxiety disorder. But start with your doctor, you can suffer serious health problems if you do not get enough sleep. Good luck!

Stop worrying about it. When your body needs sleep, it will shut down and sleep and there's nothing than you can do to stop it. Just do your thing until your body forces you to sleep.

well i think i would either take a sleep agent , assuming you havent, if you have then insomnia is usually a side affect of some underlying health issue, so seek medical attention.
