I was wondering the same thing, last week a had a stage of trying to sleep at night and feeling like everything was spinning all of a sudden along with intense nausea. I read up on it and apparently anxiety can cause all sorts of strange things. I wouldn't go for drugs to make me feel better, I just went to the doctor and she told me not to do anything too stimulating before I went to bed and only go to bed when I was tired enough to sleep. Have a look at the links below. Sometimes a visit to the doctor and some blood tests like I had can work wonders to know that you're fit and healthy and this is only a phase.

they have a controled release xanax, take one milligram and that should last you about 6 hours. if youre taking .5 milligrams of xanax, that may not be enough for you if you have an anxiety problem. when I was in the begining stages of having anxiety, when I took one .5 milligram xanax while I was having a panic attack wasn't enough, I had to take two to calm me down , so if .5 milligrams is not enough than take 1 milligrams.
xanax is a good anxiety medication but the downside is that if you get hooked then its almost impossible to get off of it. or paxil is a good medication for anxiety , but if you take it in the morning, it will wear off by the afternoon, so you may have to take a xanax also, but I think that may be the best way to control your anxiety. you can always get off of the paxil, but its a lot harder to get off of xanax , so the less xanax , probably the better for you. I hope this helps because I've been going through anxiety attacks for about 4 years now, and now I take about four, .5 milligrams of xanax a day, and if I don't take it on time, I get a headache, and dizziness too. so if you take it, you have to take it on time everyday. like about every 5 hours, but like I said you may want to try the controled release xanax, take the 1 milligram and that should last for about 6 hours or a little more. I hope this helps.

Definitely, anxiety and panic disorders will cause you to hyperventilate. When you feel dizzy pretend you are inhaling and exhaling through a drinking straw; this will control your breathing. Other methods to relax, download a hypnosis MP3 on anxiety or relaxation, they will cost about $20, there area allot of websites. Hypnosis takes up to six weeks at most to work, allot of times quicker. To sleep at night try running a fan, the noise will make it hard to think of any one thought for a period of time, and you will fall back soundly asleep. Alternatively you can set your radio between stations, where you have that hissing sound, it is like white noise. This will make it hard for you think of negative thoughts. Please, don't worry, you are not alone, anxiety affects everyone to a greater or lesser degree.

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!
1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.
2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.
The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.
After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net
Ohhh..and Good Luck!

Hi there, I just laugh about my past 3 years of panic now. I was not able to go anywhere without carrying xanax. Fear of having another attack was the most important subject of my days. When i first found joe barry's web site i started to cry because of my happiness.

Ask your doctor for some Valium, it helps make one sleep more so than xanax. Also clonapin, which is a benzodiazapein like xanax or Valium, is also good for sleeping and anxiety.

Yes, anxiety can make you feel very dizzy. It can also make you sweaty, heart race, sleeplessness, restlessness, nervous, anxious. Anxiety can be a serious condition but is treatable. You should see your physician about this as soon as possible. You don't want to let it go to long before getting treatment!

Deep breath into your abdomen through your nose, so it looks like your stomach is inflating. Then exhale through your mouth. LIke this: Inhale while counting to 1, exhale while counting to 2, progressively continue this, inhale 2, exhale 3, etc..
