Look in your phone book under Boxing Clubs, Gymnasiums, Health Clubs and see if they offer boxing instruction for beginners and don't forget to ask how much they charge for their instruction. If by some chance you can not afford to pay their are some gyms out there that are non-profit. If you have no luck looking in the phone book, obviously you have a computer so just go to USA Boxing website or just type in Local Boxing Clubs, you should find what your looking for. I hope that you have much success in finding your gym and reaching your goal in becoming a boxer. Good Luck 007!!

Joe Frazier's "Fight Like The Pros" says you should be doing roadwork, pushups, and situps before finding a boxing gym. You have to be in shape before you can train and training before you can spar.

If you don't have any boxing gyms around, a local Y or college may have an option for you.
