Kittens chew. It's a way of testing the world.
Some practical advice:
Put USB cables and cell cords where kitten can't get them.
Get a cord control wrap. It's cheap and larger in diameter than most kittens' mouths.
Give him other things to chew on -- have you tried catnip filled toys?
Lock kitten away from cables when you can't watch him.
He will outgrow this behavior, if he lives through it.
Good luck

Ok what you need to do is go to an auto parts store and tell them you want to buy some wiring loom. Wiring loom is a crinkled tube of semi hard plastic that is hollow inside and has a slit on one side. You just open the slit up and slide in your cables. That way your cables are protected and your cat. Cats also don't seem to like chewing on the loom.

Give the little monster a play area and some toys that are ok to chew.
I think the little Demon is teething, problem is if this little buzzsaw chews thru an electric cord it will be "lights out" in more than one way!!

I can only 2nd what some of the people here say- try Tabasco, it worked for my worst cord chewer.
Put cords up if you can.
Get a toy he can chew.
get some hard plastic coating for the ones you can't get out of the way,
How old is the beast? If it's under 7 months or so it still could be teething. Cats don't get all their adult teeth until 6-7 months. It could be he'll grow out of it.

I would use cord control wrap or (worst comes to worst) get some nice, extra extra hot salsa or taco sauce to put on the cords. I haven't seen a cat yet that likes hot stuff...
I had to do that with one of my cats when he started nibbling on the TV cord (the stuff I used was called Suicide Sauce) It took only one time...

kittens like kids are naughty and destroying everything. you nee some patience or part with it, or put a cable somewhere high for HIM not to reach it. When I had a puppy (and we loved him so much), he was constantly destroying knitted woolen sweaters. I can't even how many of them he chewed up LOL Patience to you!!!

Bitter apple spray will deter many pets from chewing on things. You can buy it in a spray that's easy to apply. http://www.petedge.com/sdx/H17191.jsp

Try putting some citrus on the cables, like lemon or orange.

I have to agree with the bitter apple spray. It works with cats and dogs both. It can be used on any surface.
