It is more than one year that I was escominicated from the church I was a member. When you are escominicated from that church you don't go there until you are restored. I repented and I was not restored and I was already worried staying home without fed spiritually, I then taught it wise to look for a living church to go and be fed spiritually while waiting for my restoration. When I went to this church I explain to them what happened to me. I have been with them for more than a year and I was surprised last sunday that when they were reading to the cogregation those who were to be ordained elders in time to come my name was read among them. Please none of the elders in this church know my house. It is true that I shared to them the problems I was encountering but no one has ever come to my house. You Pastors and men of God and women of God is that fair? I am not living in sin. I know I have that maturity to be an elder but my problem is that I have not been restored where I was before

You who are spiritual outside there, is my proposal to be an elder in this church right? Is that what you do Pastors? A person you don't know his house? They started by saying I should be interpriting from french to english and I told him I really want to be restored in the church I was before. I like to serve God but that should be done in spirit and in truth as His word says. What should I do while seeking the will of God? Some of you answered the problem of escominication in yahoo that I am saying above. The question is still even there. God bless.

2 Tim. Tells you the requirements of Eldership. Appears they have another thought.
Is it fair? I don't know thee details. Only a ignorant person would even remotley try to answer that.

Seems you need to have a Elder meeting and keep this inside the church where it never should have left in the first place my friend.

Good Luck.

You indicate that "none of the elders in this church know my house" and further assert, "no one has ever come to my house."

Although you didn't specify, I've assumed from certain terinology that you've used that you're dealing with members of a "Christian" religion.

Ordinarily, local "Christian" churches follow the guidelines set forth in 1 Timothy 3. It is possible that you've landed among people that haven't an appreciation for the guidelines laid out in the Bible.

It is also possible that they've adopted an interpretation of that Scripture that is consistent with both the original intent of the text and the meeting of their needs.

Only God really knows the condition of your "heart," but you should have some idea whether your allegiance is to your former church associates. Don't accept any position if your loyalties are divided.

I remain concerned that you've been at your new church for a year without any of the church's official representatives having visited you at home.

Nevertheless, and without knowing more regarding the details of your "excommunication," I am encouraged that in a year, the leadership of your new church has so accepted you.

At least superficially, it seems the "excommunication" was unrighteous; if that determination is indeed accurate, the leadership of your former church is corrupt and in need of repentance.

Nevertheless, in the interest of your spiritual journey, I admonish you as have others in this forum: don't be impolite to your former church associates (many of whom may have had nothing to do with the "excommunication"), but embrace the fellowship of your new church: it seems that God is taking you in a new direction.

I am not a pastor or a member of your faith, but it seems to me that the church you are going to has a stronger spiritual orientation. Your faith will be just as sound, whether you are restored or not. Your current church has presented you with an honor and an opportunity to set a good example for other people. Why not accept it?

God has spoken, take it one step at a time. It is not the place you have been but the journey you are on. That comfort in that the church does recognize you and you are now one of the sheep. From there you will begin your journey. Patience and humility is a virtue. God Bless you for you are on your way.

I don't really get your story. Did you get kicked out of your first church? Why exactly? And why do you want to go back there anyway? And what's a living church exactly? Please enlighten me.
