I met a really nice guy when i was in a relationship last year. I am now single and he has found out, I've only chatted to him a couple of times but now that he's found out i'm single through a mutual friend he's asked me to go out. Should I take a friend with me the first time we meet up and tell him to bring a friend along??? He seems a nice guy but i want to get to know him first to see wot his intentions are. any help would be greatly apprecited! x

hiya becki. Yeah if you like him go for it. Can't hurt, he was respectful enough to wait until he heard you were single before asking you out. Make sure though if you are going to meet him that you let someone know were your going and when you expect to be back. Also meet him in public and get a friend to call you later to make sure your ok....(Just in case LOL) also means that if you dont like him, your friend can be an excuse to leave....

Hope you make the right choice ;)

Hun, if you met him online, take a friend with you and ask him to bring a friend also, but if you et him thru a mutual friend , then go meet him yourself, if you're unsure, make sure the meeting is at somewhere public or lunch

I think you should give him a chance - he respected the fact you were in a relationship and waited till it was over before asking you. I think double dating is sometimes awkward - so maybe on the first date do something in the daytime to get to know him a bit better - of course make sure you have people who know what your doing just to be sure.

Either turn it into a double date or meet and go somewhere really public - always a good idea for a first date.

You would not be considering seeing him if you did not like him would you, so trust your instincts but be careful.

Do you like him
If you feel that you would be more comfortable with friends tell him you dont need to feel uncomfortable with anyone
Ask him to double date that it is a little too soon after being with someone else for a while and you need time to settle to be single again I am sure he will understand

Sounds like your really keen to go and like this guy so why not just go..He might get the wrong impression if you take your friend along though..Cheers!

only if you feel safe but be sure to tell some 1 where you are going and who with.....don't take a mate as this might put him off.

I suggest you go out with him it you really like him. If you are unsure of his motives go somewhere where there are lots of people.
