Nope. Though I am an atheist, I can only say that I believe I hold a more correct understanding of the "true world", but objectively it's impossible for any human to know. The Christians or Hindus could turn out to be correct after all. Not to mention the Scientologists.... yikes....

I agree with Mr Samsa.
Although I am agnostic, I can understand why you would wish to believe your interpretation is correct, but is it just as misguided as following any particular faith.
Perhaps being atheist may allow an individual to have a more inquiring mind set, but you should not assume this makes you correct in your thinking.
I think the human mind is an athema in as much as it has the capacity for great knowledge, the imagination and ability to question, but it is so loaded with ego, it assumes that it's interpretation is correct...

There are things still unexplained in the world. An atheist know no better than a believer.A religion gives a base to ur thoughts, the history, the unknown and to the great great past, whether u believe it or not ( it's ur choice.)

No it is quite the opposite of it.
If one understands the universe, one will turn towards GOD. Just imagine how the planets come around the sun in their own fixed orbits & fixed durations. Who has fixed these durations and orbits? What would happen if these planets slightly deviate from their orbits or slow down or increase their speed?
Also take the example of human heart? Is there a better pump?
There is surely ONE above all of the things that created and is maintaining all these things.

No - implicit atheism gives us the highest CHANCE of bieng accurate, but we are not allowed to rule out that there is a Santa and every measurement ever was wrong.
The chances of there bieng a Santa are not amazingly high though.

No. It is simply rejecting God.
You can do that because you think you understand the world or you can do it because you don't understand it.
If one accepts God as the creator of the true world in which we live being an atheist is rejecting that understanding.

Being an athiest is like walking around with your head in a barrel. You don't get to see the beauty of the world and the good in people.

BEING AN ATHEIST , MEANS YOU ARE CONFUSED COMPLETELY AND have absolutely no clue about anything , I bet you on this..., I am sure you found yourself wondering in an endless loop over a simple question , And rely heavily on science to explain an extremely complex question... !!
