Try to mingle with people. Staying alone increases the truamatic condition. Make sure you are not left alone for long.
Good luck.

Without knowing the source of your depression it is difficult to give you competent suggestions. I would suggest however that you do not dwell on any thoughts or feelings of which you have no control over. That is a complete waste. Do not go around feeling sorry for yourself for that is a waste also. Find yourself constructive things to do and strive to do at least one thing each day that is positive. If you are religious, put your hands in the Lord and reach out to him in prayer. While you're at it thank him for the blessings he has restored upon you.
I repeat, don't fret over that which you cannot control and think positive and constructive.
Tomorrow is another day and many times it is much brghter than yesterday.

If you had five months to live, would it sound like a long time?
Every precious moment we have in life is a gift and a miracle. If you stop to think about all of the hopeless misery and suffering of untold millions of humans alive today, as well as the countless wretched souls before them, is your life so bad? On a scale of 1 to 100, rate your existence here on Earth.
Then ask yourself : "Is there anything you have done, or could do, to improve your rating?
Every second un-necessarily spent on anger, sadness or self-loathing is a lost opportunity.

Go and see your gp and tell them your exact symptoms they will assess your mood and prescribe the correct meds and/or counselling or therapy for you. If the depression is being caused by lack of money/debts then your counsellor can help you to manage these and put these in order for you or go to see a solicitor and talk about legal aid and see if they are able to help in any way. Good luck.

when you are very depressed and have a time limit on how long it will last you have to make a plan. Ist think of things you enjoy. write them down. when you get depressed look at your list. Think of someplace you really enjoy or would really want to go. picture it in your mind and then just imagine going there in your head. really do it . think how it feels how it smells . the things you would see. the places you would go. picture yourself walking around. do this when you are depressed. write in a journal. think of these things and when it comes use this to help you remember what you thought. once you are really depressed it will be harder to picture.

Drink...
No, seriously, spend some time with God, and learn to practice meditation. Take up Tai Chi, Qi Gong, or Yoga as a way to channel your energies and clear your mind.
