What personality characteristics do men like in women? ...and what is a turn off in a woman's personality?

For me the most attractive personality trait in a woman is if they are polite.
A well developed sense of humor is a personality trait which goes a long way too, showing intelligence, wit, as well as confidence.
Turn offs? Impolite women are totally annoying. I would say that a large portion of the rejection men fear is no more than a fear of bad manors. A woman can let a guy know she isn’t available, or interested without nurturing the dude.
Another is the uptight woman, I know there are a lot of guys that deserve the title of pig, but it is a huge turn-off to be treated like one before we get a chance to oink.
Nellers has some good points, (and I’m probably not a good example of your typical guy), but I also am attracted to a woman that can handle, and do guy things. Just be honest. If you aren’t a girlie girl, that’s great for me. Hey, I can cook.

Men , is addicted with women right from birth, first its his mother , next is his sister , aunt or any other female relative, so every woman he meets put an impact on him, and when comes a question of selecting a woman for himself, as u said looks take him closer to the woman, but his X rays eyes starts searching for the qualities which he has been valuing since his birth about the various women he came across and if he finds few of this he gets attracted to this woman. What puts him off., if its only values, then any woman going against his dream values culminated for all these years, he is off. But if u are talking of Turn off on bed reasons may vary !!!

Well Jacqueline I believe one of a womans best qualities is the ability to make easy, flowing conversation. Make a man feel comfortable in being with you. Make the conversation light and entertaining. As they say never talk politics or religion. Also being able to make him laugh in the conversation is nice. Don't tell long drawn out jokes but dazzle him with your comforting sense of humor about things. Also try to act feminine. Nothing turns a man off faster then a woman that scratches and belches like one of his buddies. He doesn't need another buddy, he's looking for a lady he can take home to meet the parents. Another thing is show him that your a good cook. My mom allways told me "The way to a mans heart is thru his stomach!" A woman that can cook well will impress him to the point of his wanting to eat that good every night. Another is to dress fashionably and not trendy. Don't wear your low cut belly button showing, tatoo showing jeans. That kind of dress can come latter after the relationship is well developed. Show him your a sensitive caring individual. No wise cracks about the affermities of others. Most important beauty comes from your soul, not your face. Be self confident about yourself and this will assure him that your a well adjusted person. And never talk about any disfunctions in your family or life. If he thinks your life is full of stress he will run the other way. Just remeber if this man is someone special to you then be a lady. Be confident in yourself and your true heart will shine like a star. Take all the above to heart and no man will care about what you look like, he'll be intriqued with the person you display. a woman can be very beautiful on the outside but her personality can turn a man off. You need to have a good understanding of yourself and carry yourself well. vulgarity and smoking can turn men off faster than you know. Try to be as clean as you can as well men love a woman who is clean smelling and well groomed. you need to be a caring person and being a player can turn a man off faster than you know . A man wants a woman he can trust to be there for him, a home girl. Act mature and not wine and cry every time you feel you need to have something because a man doesn't want a drama queen either it is to time consuming so be sure your feet are on the ground. im a girl but i would say the way she moves, the litttle cute gestures, her smile, her laugh, her wit and ability to laugh at herself, her intelligence, the little sparkle in her eye, the way she can be really caring and concerned when needs be and really fun and playful otherwise, the way she lowers her eyes in a seductive manner or in a shy manner... etc etc... all the little things that make up the spark of that one person that make that one person sparkle!!!
