I am 55 years old,divorced, have all my hair (not grey) slim, 6 feet tall, I have been told I am not bad looking and look a lot younger than my years and I am very finacialy independant but women only seem to want me as a friend they say that I am a lovely person but that is as far as it goes. Any ideas about what I am doing wrong?

Get on the net there are plenty of women out there. You just need to spread your net a bit wider, that's all.
But maybe you need to be a bit more patient. Sometimes ladies want to have you as a friend THEN as a lover. Ladies have more complicated, "emotional" needs.
What you need to do with older ladies is spell it out early on- Maybe nothing will happen on the first date. maybe nothing will happen on the second date. But sooner or later, you'r going to want to GET NAKED.

Yes i have an idea why. You present yourself as a wonderful friend and not a lover. How do you do that? I ddon't know. mAybe you might try to watch films with those casanova image guys you see what i mean? there's something that you can give out with your body language, the look in the eye, a kind of signal that you get and wonder why it is. Women love that.

Maybe u exprees urself more to the opposite sex. Maybe ur body language and ur hormanal secretion attracts them to be ur friend only.
Boy ur lucky. At least they come a little closer to u by that way. Have patience and give a them look 'I'll eat u up if i find u alone'. Best of luck.

Because they are telling you the truth and not stringing you along. They do not want lovers they want friends. Try chilling and not chasing and you will find one who wants a relationship along the way. You probably come over as desperate and what a turn off that would be.
Be yourself and a friend and let things develop with no hint your looking for love and it will come and find you.

there are two types of guys those that women what for sex so they can get dumped and those that are only friend so they have some one to run to when they get dumped.
they make sure never to mix the two. You, me and many more are in the wet shoulder group. we get the wet shoulder and the other guys get the wet panties. fact of life and haven't been able to change it in whole life. last date was 10yrs ago but hear about many failed dates by others!!

Uh, no not really. Exactly how many women have told you this, and are you dating women roughly your own age? And are you totally straight? I mean, some gays or bi who are trying to go straight, well, women can spot this a mile away. No offense, just wondering.

your probably doing something wrong ? maybe you should look at things this way ! check your personality also your personal appearance, weight . and all other aspects like clothing. if these things are ok then they are missing out on a good person like yourself!
they will be jealous when you get your self a lover.
