A parent who truly believed the Bible and yet allowed their child to "find" their own religion in the name of "tolerance," even though the parent believed in only One way to heaven - through Jesus Christ. That would be like setting out fifty cups of poison and one cup of water and then saying I will just let my child pick which one he thinks is best for him and hope that he picks the right one! Those who would have such a mentality and yet call themselves "Christian" are deceiving themselves about what they really are. I expect that lost world to have a mentality as such, but those of you who advocate letting your children "pick their poison," you need to wake up to your own callous hypocrisy.

Colossians 2:8 - Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Proverbs 22:6 - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

You are right and have some valid and good points there! In everything Children need to be taught right and wrong they will not know on their own without guidance, they need to be taught well, that is a requirement from God that parents are to teach their Children about their heavenly Father! If the parents don't know what to teach then they need to learn before they teach, since teaching ones Children is a God given responsibility.

The Bible seems clear on this topic. The Lord expects all parents to bring up their children in a Godly manner as outlined in Ephesians Ch.6 V1-4. For any parent who chooses to ignore this principal they will not only pay for it in this life in one way or the other but will certainly pay for it in he next life as well. The Lord places the responsibility for the children's' upbringing on the parents entirely and not the Church or any other institution.

People have to make their own choices in life. We all learn from our mistakes. In regard to values/beliefs, thats something you work out while growing up. It shouldn't be forced on you. Thats something religious people don't get. We fought Hitler because we didn't want to be controlled, yet thats exactly what you are trying to do.
Humans have free will and the more that are waking up to religious lies, the better. We might be finally able to get some peace in the world.

Parents that teach by example have nothing to worry about. If they let their children see what good comes from following Christ. Not to be confused with following religion.

I guess you better not let your child out of your sight for 1 second. Otherwise they might have an original thought. That would be TERRIBLE.

The best we can do when it comes to our children, is show them the door...they have to walk through it. We can make no choice for them, it has to be their decision. (and PRAY)

nice try, unfortunately nobody can force you to believe anything, not even you parents, especially when they are trying to force hatred and bigotry on you.
