My ex and I broke up when I left for college because the long-distance was too hard for him to handle. We remained very close friends and I still am madly in love with him. I recently found out he had a new girlfriend and it broke my heart. I told him I can't talk to him anymore and he broke down saying that he loves me and wants to be with me...its just so hard because I am so far away. He confessed his passion and love for me...saying that he wants to be with me but we are just both living separate lives right now. I don't know what to do because I still love him so much and strongly feel like we will get back together someday. Does he realy still love me and is using this new girl for sex? He calls me all the time to check in and see how I am..tells me he misses me ad everything. I am so confused and emotionally torn! Any advice?

us guys need physical relationships. if we can't hold you we think someone else is. in long distance hearing you voice makes us miss you that much more. He sounds like he is the kind of guy that needs some one there with him. that is a shame though, he's thinking of hi self first instead of the relationship. He may indeed love you. But he is looking at the short term picture not the long term and yes he may only be going out with her for sex but that is still wrong if your in a relationship with some one. All you can do is hurt and move on with your life. He doesn't have your best interest at heart just his.

Guys have to have the physical aspect of a relationship. I could never maintain a long distance relationship with anyone, and I admit it freely. After awhile I would begin to feel less of an emotional attachment (almost like a defense mechanism). If your boyfriend is with someone else, it probably is just because he can't be with you because of the distance that seperates you, and that's why he's with another girl. If you guys don't get back together soon, your long term possibility of maintaining your relationship with him will greatly diminish.

Probably not what you want to hear but... Concentrate on college work and look for someone new, locally and remember that a week without sex for a young man with the g/f that he loves, is an eternity. So even if he promises that he will be true, he wont be, its just that you never found out. Sorry but get your head into your work and get on with your life. If you and he are meant to be then you will be 'eventually' Good Luck T

I can understand that you both love each other. Been there, done that... only that my guy did marry the other girl at the end, and we still love each other. However, love has nothing to do with guts, and most men don't have the guts to make the effort for something they want. Do you deserve a coward like that? I don't think so.

Well to be honest i can say that you both still loves each other very much. However if he truly loves you , I m sure he could have make some sacrifices to move nearer to you instead of looking for a new gf.

If you think that he got a new gal for sex, tell me do u still want a bf who is like this. I think he is just being selfish and wat he is doing is also bad towards the new gf who like u may still think that he truly loves her

He is just being selfish and maybe one day if his new gf leave him he still have u to fall back upon.

FOrget him and meet new frens

Good LUck & God Bless

It means that he loves you but he needs you to be close to him in order for the relationship to work. Some people are needy and they need the attention, affection, and general closeness that a relationship provides. At least he is being honest with you about how he feels.
