That a person, "X", depends on another person, "Y", as much as "Y" depends on "X". So it is actually mutual dependence.
Example:
José pays the rent for Rick and himself, but Rick buys the weekly food for the apartment. Rick depends on José providing a place to live, just as José depends on Rick to never starve again.

They are codependent.

The interpretation could be that the relation is to be kept as alive and happening as it can be and for the codependency it can be stated that you should not get attached to the person you are having relation with - you should not expect things from him - you should not let him come so close that if he decides to leave it hurts you . It should be both ways like that he should also have a clear understanding of this too. That way the two of you are not dependent on each other and enjoying all the time and also you two will be less hurt if you decide to separate.
It is fun to have such relation and nothing else at all.

Sue

When in a relationship
it is so easy to lose oneself,
so make certain there are
3 equal parts in this relationship

1. the couple as in both of you
2. your partner
3. yourself

All essences may flow together,
but need to be able to be independent
of each other at a moments notice.

Best advise for a healthy, rewarding
relationship.

Good luck!

It's when you have somebody who depends on you, like an alcoholic, junkie, gambler, or something. And you don't want them to get better because you need to be needed.
