I believe the worst thing anyone can lose, and I don't know if anyone agrees, is one's memory. I consider AlzHeimer's disease, as the worst disease, given that you gradually forget about things and the worst thing is that you can't remember forgetting, or having had that memory. Imagine how horrible it must feel to be told you have a son, but not being able to remember him. Yes, it is far more horrible for the son to see his father not remember him at all; but for a moment think on the poor man who is oblivious to his situation. Such inability of controlling one's thoughts and deliberate consciousness, mut be terrible. For all these reasons, I think, memory is the worst thing anyone can lose.

The worst thing a person can lose is themself's. If you lose that you are lost and have no meaning and most of the time that is when we go to a funneral. Because if you lose yourself you have no wish to live. It is a very sad thing. I have seen people who have been there and the worst thing is that it effects everybody else that is arround them

Their hold on a rope when hanging over the edge of a very tall cliff.

Unless you meant lose. In my case, that's my mind. I lost it a while ago, and I gotta tell ya, things haven't been going so well since.

Their sense of feeling. If a person is completely null and void of emotion, that person can never experience anything...they would be just simply going through the motions. There would be no loss, sorrow, sadness, joy, peace, no laughter, no tears...nothing. I would say that is worth than death.

Childlike wonder. Free to imagine those things much greater than our tangible reality. Free to accept others just as they are. Free to be who we are; without pretense. Free to be honest. Free to be original. Free to be humble enough to ask questions. Free enough to have no perspective of pride. Free to hardly notice an others shortcomings and differences. Free to "Be" without having to prove personal worth by what we do, wear, drive and simply be free enough to be a HumanBEing. Free enough to have no thought of judgment of self or others. Free enough to not think of comparing with others and measuring worth by our bias scales. Free enough to be unaffected by an other's opinion. Free enough to explore. Free enough to TRUST. Free enough to believe life is a good thing. Free enough to love for the sake of loving with no ulterior motive or thought of a return. Free enough to be selfless. Just free. Imagine that!
