You have to remember that people can say anything, pretend to be anything online. Just look at how many online perverts and pedophiles who trick children and who are fortunately being monitered by online security and detected.
So a word of warning to you. People are not always as they seem to be. The can create illusions. Only yesterday I read a story or a lady 'who fell in love' with a guy online, they had built up an online relationship over some months. He lived in the UK, she in the US. He invited her to visit, and she really thought he was "the one'. When they met he turned out to be totally different He was quiet, aloof, shy, undecisive cold. He did not suggest taking her anywhere, she felt most uncomfortable, shut out. He practically ignored her.
He was like a totally different man to the one she had been interacting with for months online. She felt she had been conned, tricked, abused. He was just a coward and a fraud. However she stayed on, and did manage to enjoy herself, fortunately she had a friend who accommodated her and she made the most of her visit. The guy then emailed her and asked if she still wanted to be friends, but she ignored him blocked him. So this is an example of how people are not what they always pretend to be. So be very careful. it's best to get to know someine in real life as opposed to an imaginary one online.BTW it's not a good idea to let anyone have access to your password, especially an online acquaintence, because that is what they are before you get to know them, just an online acquaintance.

Yes. It happened to me. I met this guy for 3 years on the net, before meeting him in person. We still love each other, but distance played some weird tricks on us.

Oh yea....it's dangerous too. Because you think you can tell them anything because your not really seeing them face to face and you become less intimidated. Is it fun? Sure.!!! Can it work? YES!!!
But it's also dangerous, because you can't focus on your real life.
