You do not need religion. No one does. All it is , is a guideline of how to act and that there will be something waiting for you when you die. It's just for people who can't think for themselves. Who can't decide right from wrong on their own.

I cannot figure out why people keep saying "All you need is Jesus" All Jesus did is tell people to be nice to each other. That's what Christianity started out as. But now it's warped, and it doesn't know what it's doing. But, I don't need someone telling me to be nice to everybody. I can figure that out for myself.

No, science cannot explain everything. It will be able to explain most of the problems mankind will ever face. But when it comes to how the universe started, no. It will never be able to solve that. That's where god comes in. A quick, simple, easy answer.

No religion is the "best" You may think it is, but that's just you. People think differently. I like the main idea of budishm myself. Respect for everything on this planet, every living thing is equal. Nothing is less or more important than anyone else.

Here's a question. If you were on a safari and off in the distance you saw 5 lions surrounding a woman, and there happened to be a high powered rifle next to you. You are a expert marksman and you can kill all the lions before they even touch the woman, what would you shoot? Most people are going to say the lions. But, would you sacrifice 5 lives to save one? No. Would you shoot 5 humans if they were surrounding a dog ready to eat it alive? No.

Got kindof off topic but, I had to get that out. In the end, you do not need religion. You just need to come up with guidelines for yourself and believe in them. Practice them. Share them. Make the world a better place.

Religion is man's attempt to simplify spirituality into a simple, tangable package that anyone can pick up and understand. You can't put God in a box. Having a relationship with God is far more important. Fellowship is sharing opinions and points of view with people who feel the same. If you find a religion with a belief structure that matches your own, then that religion will benefit you.

Science: The more you know the less you know. If you never opened your front door you would never know about stars, trees, sunlight, etc. Nor would you know how they worked. The more scientific "doors" you open, the more things you find inside that you knew nothing about. Scientists are discovering things that point to God. More scientists are turning to God.

The law allows parents to raise their children in the parents religion, with few exceptions. If the parent(s) breaks a law with/against the child or causes the child to break a law because of the requirements of their religion (rape, theft, etc.) then the law can take action. Can you define good/bad or right/wrong without a religion? Of course! For instance, here's my definition: if it hurts people unnecessarily, it's wrong and bad.

Can science explain everything? Not yet, and maybe it never will, because when current questions are answered, new ones will come up. But then again, do you actually NEED all questions answered? And besides, why are you sure that the answers you get in church are right?

Finally, I wish the states could protect children from religions (and from parents' good intentions in this field). But I'm afraid that day is still too far away.

Imagine yourself in an aeroplane and you know it is
going to crash...

Who do you turn to for help then ?

Or on a ship in the sea, thrown helplessly up and down
by towering waves ...

There will have been a situation at one time or the
other in your life when you called upon your Creator
alone, forgetting everyone and everything else,
hoping, trusting, wishing that the Being you know in
your heart and soul that has power and control over all
things would help you. The only One you know can
save you!

1. He is the one God, Who has no partner.
2. Nothing is like Him. He is the Creator, not created, nor a part of His creation.
3. He is All-Powerful, absolutely Just.
4. There is no other entity in the entire universe worthy of worship besides Him.
5. He is First, Last, and Everlasting; He was when nothing was, and will be when nothing else remains.
6. He is the All-Knowing, and All-Merciful,the Supreme, the Sovereign.
7. It is only He Who is capable of granting life to anything.
8. He sent His Messengers (peace be upon them) to guide all of mankind.
9. He sent Muhammad (pbuh) as the last Prophet and Messenger for all mankind.
10. His book is the Holy Qur'an, the only authentic revealed book in the world that has been kept without change.
11. Allah knows what is in our hearts.

Religion is actually a way of life..its like a guidance...and it helps us do good and keep away from the bad...but sometimes ppl take being born into a particular religion for granted and they still commint the bad..so its no point saying I am of tis religion yet u still do the bad things the religion has told u to stay away...if u on ur own can differentiate from worng or rite..then mayb u dun need guidance...and furthermore having a religion u believe in God..and when u have no one, no one ard u...when u say a prayer , u r expressing ur wants, ur dislikes and u have the feeling like someone is listening..so it keeps u from goin crazy... Science has done a good job of explaining lots of things...but there are somethings that cannot be explained by science...
Your children should be taught to respect all religions as he respects his own..when he does...he will not feel bad when someone says tat his religion is bad and tat persons religion is the best...I dunno abt the law part..but I guess once a child is 18 or an adult he can make his own choices on wat he wants to believe...

Morals can occur sans-religion. Being a good person depends on the individual. (Most people in jail consider themselves as some type of religion, mostly Christianity. This shows that it's not the Atheists committing all the crimes in the world.)

I hope that you give your children the chance to learn about many religions so at least they can be tolerant and accepting of other people outside of your faith.

There isn't much the law can do if your faith is followed by a large enough crowd. Your faith, if you choose one, needs constant analysis to prevent your following rules that are senseless or insane. Study every faith wherever you can find info.
Get a dictionary to help you define words you read and try so hopelessly to spell.
Follow the Golden Rule, be a gent, look both ways before you cross the street.

RELIGION needs to be abolished to end killing before there is no world left A GOD is an imaginary thing that was created over 2000 yrs. ago to make the people be afraid to be immoral and there was no laws so they created a GOD to fear. The Bible is so messed up nothing makes since we have the mental ability to be good or bad to have morals in our life to teach our children right from wrong without being a mindless, brainwashed idiot following a GOD that according to the Bible murdered everyone on earth by drowning them.

1. That is a question only you can answer.
2. Yes.
3. No, but neither can religion.
4. Yes, they will resent you for it.
5. No. It's funny, because you have to have a license to go fishing, or to have a dog, but any lame brain is allowed to be a parent.

If your religion makes you happy and enlightens you and doesn't hurt anyone else then there's no problem...The only problem I can see is if you don't allow your children to choose for themselves when they are older, teach them the ways of your religion and culture, but when they are old enough let them find their own path and if it disagrees with your own accept it and trust that the way that you raised them has made the decent honorable people.
