Why would it be harder for a girl than a boy?
Is there something I don't know about girls? Do they have some sort of learning disability I don't know about?

It is said that piloting a small airplane is ten times as difficult as driving a car. When you talk about bigger planes, the degree of difficulty increases enormously.
Yet, it can be done. Lots of people become good pilots and it does not make a difference when you are a girl.
If you have not flown yourself yet, go to a small airport in the neighborhood and find a flying school. Then go up with an instructor to see and feel for yourself. That's how I started and now I have my Private Pilot license.
If you decide to go for a career as a pilot, make sure you go to a good school, preferably an aviation university like Embry Riddle in Daytona Beach. They're the best.

Being pilot isn't neccesarily difficult, unless you have a hard time multi-tasking. Your gender isn't going to affect, anymore than it would affect your ability to do anything else.
What does make it difficult is the financial end- fuel for an airplane is expensive, as is the upkeep of an airplane in general. If you are interested in flying, maybe you could look into Civil Air Patrol? They have a website, and if you live in or near a big city, there is a unit there, more than likely.

Some of the best pilots in the world are women. The International Aerobatics World Champion for several years running was American Patty Wagstaff, an woman. One of my flight instructors was a woman. It doesn't take physical strength to fly an airplane, but it does take a cool head and the ability to multitask, or think about, pay attention to, and respond to several things at once.
Got to the flight school at your airport and get an inexpensive introductory ride. you'll love it!

Hi,,,, no tougher than any other professional job i would say... We had a Coast Guard helocoptor land on my drilling rig the other day.and they had a female pilot .... cute too.....lol
