i think they are. islam and muslims have all the hallmarks of been cultists, just like hare krishnas and scientologists.

yup. Have you read some of the garbage in their' holy' book. there are as many contradictions as there are good ideas.

I haven't made a point to study out about these groups but I know that for the most part it's easy to pass judgement on people or groups of people. Whose definition of "cult" are you going to go by? I prefer to live and let live. Religions and groups all originally came from the same source in the beginning. I'm sure there are a few really wonderful people in each, but we tend to judge each other as a whole. Maybe you were just curious, I'm not intending this to hurt anyone/

All religions are technically cults. The first baptist church of whatever is a cult. The united Methodist thingy is a cult. Mithraism is a cult.
Now, if you are referring to a cult where one person (usually a man) gets a lot of money and sex and the members are in danger, then no. Islam is pretty old, and they aren't forced to cut all ties with their families and give all their money to their leader.
