What would a person have to do to prove to people today that he is the son of god? What would the average person have to see or hear to believe the person is really divine?

Nothing, He's already proved who he is. Prophecy speaks of false christs performing great signs and wonders to deceive if possible the very elect, the Bible also tells us who the true Divine Son of God is, if we can't believe that then what would we believe?

He'd have to arrive on a cloud riding a white horse surrounded by a legion of angels and saints. That's how He will return!

Well he'd have to actually be the son of God for a start and then I don't think he'd have to prove it.

Jesus sacrificed his perfect human life once and for always that we might have life--if he takes back his sacrifice you and I are doomed. I don't believe he will. Anyone posing as Christ today is a liar and a son of Satan.

I doubt there would be anything to really convince me, unless you could stop all the terror and hunger/poverty, and ignorance, in the world, and bring complete peace and love among us all.

be themselves. people preaching the bible need to be who they are, not some preacher with a booming voice condemning all to hell.
for instance, my bus driver. he has many conversations with people, and i overhear them and listen to his points. for some reason, i can connect and understand, and i believe him to be true. (don't worry, he's not my only source, there's the bible and church too) but i connect easily with everyday people, and they tend to strengthen my convictions and beliefs about god.
its also reflected in their actions and lives. people can tell. i can. so just be yourself.
