I just want to learn how to cut hair and bleach/dye hair stuff like that. If I have to learn makeup and what not I will but just wondering about how long it takes.

Depends on what state you are from, 1500 hours in Arkansas, which is anywhere between 9 months on, you can have only a max of 8 hours a day!

i think it is about 4 months for the basic learning. if you are really into it and dont go 2 school then you could study for up 2 5 yrs.

hey there are different types .... if you wanna just know to cut hair and dye them it would be 4 months... for makeup .... 9 months cause lots of people have different skin.... and for total beauty coarse it would be 2 yrs and your totally ready for a parlorist job

1500 hours in Ohio 8 am- 5pm full time about 1 year
part time about 2 years 3 nights a week and Saturday..
been there and done that.!!!!!

It depends on what state each state has a mandatory amount of hours to complete then you have to take a state board exam. these can be answered now a days at your dept motor vechile, also depends on if your going for a degree or just a license no matter what you have to complete the hrs. then state boards

Beauty school takes 1500 hours for non managing cosmetologist and 1800 for managing cosmetologist. so just depending on how many days a week and how many hours a day you go.

My cousin went it took her 9 months at OGLE. She got a certificate in cosmotology. The best thing to do because all schools are different is call the school you want to go to and ask them.
