k. For my 9th grade year i took intro. math (which is pre algerbra) and my 10th grade year i took both Algerbra 1A and Algerbra 1B. We have a new guidence counsouler (he makes the scedules) and a new principal (so they dont know me very well yet) Well the Guidence counsouler put me in intergrated math (which is pretty much pre algerbra) but if i keep on taking this class would i get a credit for it or not.

Sorry if that was confusing!

Drop that class.
It seems to be a waste of your time.
Bring this up to your parents' attention, so when you confront the counselors, you have your parents to back you up.
Take some other courses that will help you get into college or go to the junior college to see what courses can you take while you are in high school.

Ask your guidance counselor what are prerequisites are for Algebra 1A and 1B, if you have taken those courses and passed them then you don't need to take the lower courses.

Found out the exact course description of Integrated Math and of Intro Math, and Algebra 1A and 1B. Then ask the counselor if, since you had both Algebras should you really be taking a lower course? Some colleges and some schools may require that you do, if they do then ask if you can test out of the class.

Can you talk with a former Algebra math teacher? At least one of them should still be at the school. Bring the problem up to them, and ask them if you should take the lower math course. Usually, they will be willing to go to the principle or guidance consoler and correct the mistake. If not, then they can tell you what extra things are in the lower math course that you need to study and learn.

Algebra is the study of equations with an unknown variable that can't be solved with a simple calculator. Anyone who can do Algebra shouldn't have to be required to take elementary math. So I agree with you that it sounds stupid, but before making that statement first ask a teacher or your counselor for an exact definition of the courses.

If you keep taking the class you should get High School credit for it, but ask the counselor first. If they aren't willing to give you credit for the class, then you obviously don't need to take it. You are only required to take classes that will lead to your graduation. Even if you have to take something like Elementary Math then you should get credit for it. This is true in college as well. Of course they don't care how many math courses you have to take, only that you pass all of them and take as many of them as you need to fulfill the requirements of your major.

If the counselor is still giving your trouble after this then take a parent, explain the situation to them, and visit the principle. If that doesn't work then go to the principal's boss the school superintendent. If you don’t want to waste a semester then you have to make it clear to the people involved that you aren’t happy with that.

If all that fails then talk with the teacher that is teaching the lower math course and ask for his opinion. If he thinks you shouldn’t be in his class, because you know it already then he will be willing to go to the school counselor and the principal and explain the error. If he thinks you still need to take his class then ask him what you could possibly get from his class. If you think you know it then ask him if you can take the test and test out of it. Unlike college, the first few days of a class are easy to make up, so you do have some time to get things set straight.

Your question wasn’t confusing. Your grammar and spelling could use some help, so I recommend using a program like Microsoft Word (I do) to correct that minor flaw.
